New business looking to build a brand. For all your construction or home improvement needs. No job to big or small!

"Project took longer than expected even with a team of 4-5 guys in and out a day. Everything that went wrong or caused them delay was somehow our houses fault or the items we bought to be replaced. We bought sticky floor plastic to put down on our floors/stairs after 2 days because the floor covering they were using were useless and was causing our carpet to get stains. At times we could hear team members complaining about the job which was very unprofessional since we were paying them. When the shower head and handle were installed it was not attached to anything so the wall would just bend in if lightly pushed. This was fixed after my husband brought it up. Early on we expressed our concerned for the drywall finishing on one side of the shower but we’ were assured it would be fixed and smoothed out but was not the case and was just painted over and left. Paid 200$ for trim/ install and some was left scratched up and unfinished. The sanding/ painting is very sloppy and left unfinished in my opinion. After they claimed complete went to take a shower and had no hot water. Informed them and was told I they thought it was our hot water heater when actually it was because the plumber didn’t check the setting of the handle befor leaving. He had to come back to adjust. Not even 24hours after they “completed” our bathroom the transition strips came off and we had to attach them ourselves. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut and needed to be trimmed we let them know but there was no response. Do not pay until you are 100% happy with their work or you may be ghosted."

"We hired Feth Construction to remove an old concrete patio and pour a new one in it's place. Their work was terrible, concrete had different colors, uneven spots causing water to pool and the edges on the steps were terrible. I paid $1,600 upfront, the total cost was to be $3,200. They did not get one more $ from me. Tried to pressure me in to paying the other $1,600. Sent pictures of the concrete by registered mail, never would pick it up. They blamed the shoddy work on the Sun and the distance they had to wheel barrow the concrete in. Buyer beware."

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can add a kitchenette to a basement. However, you’ll have to consider the costs associated with basement kitchenettes. If you’re starting from scratch in an unfinished basement, you’ll need to account for brand-new plumbing, electrical, flooring, and more in addition to the cost of the kitchenette. If you’re putting a kitchenette in an already finished basement equipped with plumbing and electrical, you’ll save considerable money.

Yes, finishing a basement is worth the money in most cases. Although the project is a relatively expensive one, finishing a basement adds usable square footage to your home and typically increases your home value. Many times, your finished basement will add value that’s equal to or greater than the cost of finishing.

You should always use high-quality lumber for your framing in order to ensure it will last the test of time and resist moisture. Use 2-foot by 4-foot lumber that is pressure-treated for your framing.

Key trends include home gyms, theatre rooms, additional rooms (bedroom/office), and more, with personalized styles reflecting individual preferences.

Basements with persistent moisture problems or flooding shouldn’t be finished until the moisture issues have been fixed. In addition, if your foundation is cracked, you have unmitigated radon levels, or you have asbestos or lead pipes, remediate the underlying problem before finishing your basement. Turning a basement into living space before fixing these issues can lead to serious health risks or structural damage.
