"She is a very small business owner with hands on work even alongside her employees when she utilized them for bigger projects I hired her for after the first job, again and again. I was very impressed with her thoughtfulness, attention to details, and how personal she made it for me. Not only was it beautifully done, from her design to completion, her little touches she added made it clear that she strives for as she put it "makiing people smile" and goes above and beyond. She may not be as realistic with time frames due to how small her company is, but overall, it was and continues to be well worth the time when you can tell her heart is in it too."

"It went great! He came out the first day I talk to him to measure up the roof and give me the estimate. The work was completed in time limits promised. No payment was asked for until completion of all work. The installers where very professional. They were there everyday on time, sometimes not in the best weather I my add. They kept their work areas clean and did a quality job. I would definitely use them again.

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Landscaping prices are sometimes negotiable, but it depends on the professional with whom you’re working. In most cases, you’ll have a better chance of negotiating prices down the more work you have done. Your pro might be willing to discount labor if they’re guaranteed a large job. You can also ask your landscaper to recommend more affordable materials that will still bring your vision to life to save.

Yes, you can put topsoil over sand to encourage grass growth. The topsoil will help to improve water retention and promote grass roots’ development, making it a recommended step of the seeding process. Adding a layer of topsoil will provide additional nutrients to the sandy soil, helping the grass grow and remain healthy through many seasons.

Yes, landscaping costs are generally a worthwhile investment that can increase your property value. Landscaping can boost your home's value by up to 30% by improving its curb appeal, which can help it sell faster and for a higher price. Specific projects have a high return on investment (ROI); for example, revamping a front walkway can offer a 100% ROI, while a pristine, well-manicured lawn can deliver an impressive 217% ROI. In addition to the financial returns, you also get to enjoy the improvements, especially with features like an outdoor living area.

You may need to lay sod on the areas you dug up once you get the okay from the contractor. It will take about 30 to 45 days for the sod to take root. Consult a local sod installer to get an accurate estimate of the timeline of your specific yard-enhancement project.

Xeriscaped lawns are far more varied than many gardeners initially assume. The often-pictured rocky and cacti-filled landscapes are just one option. Many wildflower-, herb-, and mulch-covered landscapes follow the same principles without straying too far from the lush and colorful landscapes we have come to know. In fact, there are numerous xeriscape ideas for customizing an energy-efficient lawn to your liking.
