To Southeast Home improvement I’m paying this bill under protest for I think I was taking advantage of. Southeast came out on 7/12/2017 and sales rep Stu gave me a proposal bid. I ask him he ever did work for Helitech before and he told me yes. He asks to see the contract and I show it to him. This is the time I called Southeast and Stu came out on 7/12/2017 to give me a bid and he was told him about the problem that I was running out of time and that the work had to be done by Monday 7/24/2017. Stu came back with a bid of $4,815.55 on 713/2017 and we told him ok. He knew that we had to get this work done by 7/24/2017 and that I did not have no one else. I called Chris and was told that he that he need to meet with Stu from Southeast on 7/13/2017 and that he could not make it and he would meet with Stu on Friday 7/14/2017 at 5.30 p.m. Stu, Chris, my son & I meet to look at the job and at this time that Chris said the one shelf had to come down and that the well holding tank had to be move away from the wall. Stu said that he did not figure that in the bid and I ask him how much was that going to be. I was told that he had to go back to the office and figure that in the bid. Stu from Southeast came back on Monday 7/17/2017 with a bid of $7,115.55 There was nothing I could do at this time, I had 7 day’s left to get the work done for Helitech was to start on the 24th Monday. I feel that I was taking advantage of and was in rock & hard spot and could do nothing, my husband could not go downstairs for the meeting, he is on oxygen and in bad health. I ask him if he ever did work for Helitech before and he said yes. He asks to see the contract from Helitech and I showed it to him. Stu from Southeast seen the contract from Helitech in the contract it said to remove sheetrock, bottom of framing on wall, nothing was said about anything else. He came back on a Monday with a bid $3,000 more. Here is a copy of the contract. He doesn’t have that much material in the job. When we hired Southeast, we were to believe that they would be done in 2 weeks after Helitech was done. I also had another contractor give me a bid and was told that I was way over charge for the job. Looked nice when finished, however within 2 months started peeling.

"We strive so hard to make sure all of our customers stay very happy with our company. Sometimes things go wrong or a product may fail, but if we don't know about it we can't help make it right. [member name removed] never contacted our company to let us know there was a problem with the stain on the deck. However, the stain that was applied had been purchased by [member name removed]. We can't guarantee that the stain is going to do its job. This would be an issue for the product manufacturer. If Southeast Home Improvement would have been at fault in any way and known about the problem we would whatever necessary to fix it."

when I called I was directed to a man named Jason I guess he's a guy that handles all of the claims or enquiries but he told me that he be at my house around 11 he came an hour early was very nice and professional he was straight up with what he was telling me as far as their prices and as far as who and how the work will be accomplished what's the measured my roof with a physical walk he came down and he drew up a blueprint estimate and he showed me every square what would have to be replaced what wouldn't and where the Meadowood go in water all metal covers for the roof and the trim the house I'm very pleased with the way they handled there position it was very nice.

Thank you Southeast Home Improvement!  As an artist my father designed and built an English Tudor House. Though the design was appreciated by friends and neighbors, there was a problem: one of the dormers started leaking. Several people tried to fix the leak, but they were not successful. Southeast Home Improvement were the only ones able to identify the problem and fixed it! It turned out that the problem was not because of the dormer but the roof decking somehow created a dent or minor valley and water collected there and eventually seeped through the edge of the dormer. I am so thankful to Dave, Bill and Mary for their dedication to give great service to their customers. I would recommend them for anyone that seeks any kind of remodeling and insulation for their house(s).

I had them insulate my house when I built it in 2005. The owner took the
time to educate me on the different types of insulation and how they
work. He also explained the mistakes commonly made by inexperienced
contractors and handymen that cause a home to be inefficient. My wife
and I were able to make a good decision that has paid dividends every
month since we moved in. Southeast Insulation showed up when they said
they would, did a professional job and cleaned up the mess before they
left. They did cost more than than the other bid we got, but I believe
we got a much better job and the savings on my utilities have more than
paid for the job anyway.
I called them back this year to put seamless
guttering on the house. This time the company sent a sales guy out who
also took the time to talk to me about what I needed and then explain
the proper way to install gutters and showed me examples of the mistakes
and corners other gutter companies cut to get a cheaper price. Again,
the crew showed up and did a professional job. The gutters look great
and don't  hold water or leak.

They did a good job on the metel roof , it just had to many delays, no contact, and apparently greater priorities (Baseball Games or other jobs) the mine for the cost.  Would advise making sure that they give you a completion time before signing a contract.
Response from SOUTHEAST HOME IMPROVEMENT
"My name is Bill Metzing, I am the owner of Southeast Home Improvement. We are a small family run business. A little over a year ago my father and son, who both worked with us in our business, were killed unexpectedly, my wife and I were so devastated that we could not handle the pressure of the business. In our state of grief and confusion, we agreed to finance the sale of the company to two of our employees. We were in the process of acquiring the company back during the time this job was being completed. I take responsibility for the last year because we did take some time away to heal. Member is someone that I have known for about 9 years and consider a friend of the family. I am however disappointed that he never contacted me personally and told me there was a problem. I cannot fix problems that I am unaware of, I had to find out through Angie’s List. Yes, they did use a subcontractor for the job. We have received so much praise on his work that I hired him full time as soon as I took ownership. Member, if you are reading this, all I can do at this point is apologize for your inconvenience, had I known earlier I could have done more. I’m sure you will not have any problems with the roof, but if you do, please call me. I want you and all my customers to be happy."
