"Dust busters were absolutely amazing! We had never had the ducts cleaned since we moved in in 2913 and who knows if the previous owners had. They were prompt, professional and did a great good on our really really bad ducts and dryer vent. Then they recommended a look at the refrigerator coils and those were pretty bad too. So glad we got this done. They had a great coupon deal on Bbay and were less than half the cost of other companies I called in the area."

You may be wondering if you really need the snow removed from your roof. Since most roofs can only handle 20 pounds per square foot of snow accumulation, there is a tipping point when you are suddenly at risk of roof collapse. This can cause a lot of damage, not just to your home, but to your belongings, too. It also poses a physical danger to your family. Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

It may require stronger cleansers or chemicals, higher-pressure spray, or scrubbing to completely remove algae from a metal roof. Start with a mild cleanser; if that doesn’t work and you're comfortable doing so, use a stronger mix of ⅓ cup of laundry detergent, 1 quart of bleach, and 3 quarts of water to gently scrub the algae with a soft-bristled brush. If algae is present across large portions of your roof, doesn’t come off with gentle scrubbing and cleansers, or is in hard-to-reach areas, this may be a job better left to a pro.
