"I engaged Sam Solberg, an independent contractor specializing in technical equipment installation and owner of GeoSync Communication, to install equipment at my residence. Upon arrival, Mr. Solberg appeared visibly displeased and offered minimal acknowledgment. I specifically requested installation at the roof peak to avoid obstructions. He dismissed this as a common misconception among non-technical individuals and insisted on placing the equipment at the side corner of the house. Since installation, I have experienced persistent WiFi connectivity issues. Diagnostic tools confirm signal obstruction caused by the adjacent roof peak. Multiple attempts to contact Mr. Solberg regarding relocation have gone unanswered. I strongly advise against retaining GeoSync Communication or Sam Solberg for any technical installation services. "

No, this is extremely dangerous, often illegal, and you should never attempt it. If you connect your generator to your home without a transfer switch, the generated power can backfeed, essentially flowing back into the utility lines. Backfeeding exposes a significant threat of fatalities or harm to you and utility personnel, in addition to jeopardizing the structural integrity of your home.

Here’s what you can run with different wattages and types of generators:

Portable generator:

  • 2,000 watts can handle a large appliance like a freezer or refrigerator, plus a few smaller items like phones or computer chargers.
