President, Erik Peterson, worked installing asphalt during the summers while completing a degree in civil engineering at the University of Minnesota in the spring of 1978. Dave Swanson, Vice President, was one of the founding members of Asphalt Specialties Co. The company originally provided residential asphalt installations only.
