"Showcase Lawn Care outshines the other weed control companies. The people who spray the lawn are accurate, fully covering all areas, and the product they spray on the lawn is very effective. The company's prices are competitive. The people in the office and the technicians working on our lawn are polite and knowledgeable. The communication from the company staff is reassuring. The staff send out texts to say when the spraying will take place and give the customer an opportunity to change the date or time. After the spraying, there is follow - up information. All communication is clear and consistent helping to make lawn care easier. Showcase Lawn Service is a superlative company."

"Hmmmmmm. . . . the plan looked nice in the drawing, but was pretty skimpy when installed. The black weed preventer they put in stuck out on a lot of the edges. They didn't reuse a lot of my plants that were established, and a good number of their new ones died. When I finally got hold of them - they did offer to replace - however I'd taken care of it by that time. The crew was personable and worked quickly. I would rate this service as OK. Certainly reasonable in pricing."

"It went great!! This was the second time we used L & R Suburban Landscaping for a major project because they are so accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. We worked with manager Lyle on both of these projects and find him to be kind, knowledgeable and straightforward in his communications. He always advised us when to expect the team and kept us aware of how the project was going. The office staff, we worked often with Layla, was also very professional and incredibly easy to work with. We would not use any other landscaping outfit because we can rely on them as caring professionals who provide superior quality work!!!"

"Jeff Cordes was prompted at returning calls, did a quality job of smow removal of my driveway for 12" snowfall. Cleared areas as requested and sent photo to confirm work was done allowing feedback before he left the jobsite. Great customer service and reasonably priced."

Small jobs welcome

"So far, so good. After being abandoned by BladeRunners after I complained about their shoddy work, I needed a new person quick. E&R returned my call quickly, I hired him to do the driveway once to show me his work and was impressed. His reviews are correct. He is not the cheapest, but he offers a level of service the others I have hired don't. So you get what you pay for."

FAQs for weed maintenance projects in Spring Park, MN

The cost to reseed or overseed a lawn is about $1,050 on average, ranging from $450 to $1,700, depending on lawn size, seed type, and location. Popular seed types for residential lawns include bahia, fescue, and Bermuda. Keep in mind that it costs $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot to seed or overseed a lawn. Additional cost factors may include:

  • Fertilization: $80–$400

  • Soil testing: $700–$2,100

  • Yard cleanup and leaf removal: $200–$560

  • Treating weeds: $110–$325

  • Mowing: $50–$210

On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:

  • Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet

  • Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80

  • Grub treatment: $30–$80

  • Mulching: $150–$400

  • Dethatching: $265–$295

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:

  • Location

  • Yard size

  • Project size

  • Materials

  • Land preparation

  • Type of landscaping

Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000
