Customers say: Quick response

"Very professional service. Listened to customer and offered suggestions which were very helpful. Careful attention to detail. The advertisement of this company does not show the type of service which included putting in new beds of rock, planting shrubs, removing unwanted small trees & shrubs, etc. Website could reflect this, because it is not obvious this is a valuable service provided."

Land N Lawn Restorations became a LLC in March of 2023. It was created by me, Brogan Hanson. Yet I did not do this all on my own, growing up I had worked a wide variety of jobs. Where I was able to learn from many different people and situations. Landscaping being one of those jobs that one stood out to me a lot more than the others. So in 2022 I decided to start doing some of my own jobs on the side. Little did I know with the help of hardworking friends and time it became more of a full time job. Unfortunately winter put that to a halt. With that flame I chose to pour some gas on it by turning LNL Restorations into a true business. We are excited to work with clients all over Central Southern Minnesota in the coming season!

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.
