Hi, My business began in Oklahoma City, and through those relationships built, was taken then to Florida, Maine, into San Francisco for years, and then to Lake Tahoe. My wife and I moved to the Duluth area a few years ago and I've recently decided to get back into doing what I know best. Helping people build their vision for their home, fixing any issues that come up, all the while providing a better experience for people in regards to how they perceive their "contractor". I wanted to be different than the typical contractor. I wanted to be a sophisticated craftsman who provided stellar services and products while being reliable, friendly, and a future staple in my client's lives. One that will answer a call, return a phone call, show up on time, and, well, I'm sure we're on the same page already. Horror stories of people who will take your money and never show back up, quote a job at taking 3 days when it takes a month, and who show up in a trashy white van, put out their cigarette in your drive, and smell bad, have filled my ears for years. I have changed that.... I have a ton of references and a portfolio for those who would like the security of knowing that I run my work as a business and not some contractor who is untrustworthy and incompetent. I am a carpenter, painter, handyman, tiler, finish worker, master craftsman, general contractor, and home builder all wrapped in one. I do smaller jobs on my own and larger jobs with a crew if needed. My returning clients see me as a master craftsman and hopefully you will too! Better yet, I'm a licensed Home Builder in the State of Minnesota and insured beyond the requirements by the state. My prices are extremely competitive and the work is exceptional. I offer so many services all across the construction board. So if you need something done, just shoot me an email, let me know what needs done, and we can chat. I look forward to your business! Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

The rule tells you how to cut tile to install it in a corner. The 3/4/5 rule recommends that you should have 3 feet across on one straight line, four feet on the other perpendicular line, and 5 feet of length from the end of one of the lines to the other. You’re making a right triangle with the tile, and the hypotenuse (the line across from where the 3-foot lie and 4-foot line meet) should be 5 feet long.

You can put hot pans on porcelain countertops. Porcelain is highly resistant to heat—it’s manufactured at around 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can withstand a ton of heat without cracking or damaging. Even though the high heat is a plus, you should still be cautious when putting hot surfaces on porcelain countertops.

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.

Travertine is a natural stone, while porcelain is ceramic. You can enjoy the best of both worlds with porcelain travertine tiles. Some people prefer porcelain to travertine because it doesn’t require regular maintenance and it’s easier to clean. Porcelain travertine looks like the real thing but only costs $3 to $6 per square foot.
