"We have been customers of HSI since April 2007 (18 years!). I called Paul at HSI a couple of months ago asking for the plans / diagram for the speakers that were pre-wired in our lower level. I wanted to look at the diagram to see how we may want to set the speakers up. We were under no obligation to go through HSI. I was looking at installing the speakers and volume controls myself. When I talked with Paul he was evasive and vague whether he had a diagram or not. He said he would call back. I called Paul on my current cell phone number. He never called me back. I then sent him an email asking for the plans in follow up to my phone call. Paul never responded to my email. On June 4, 2025 I sent Paul / HSI a comment on the HSI comment section of their website telling them to cancel our service with them. That got Paul’s attention. He called me back on an old cell phone number – not the one I called him on a couple of months ago. My son now has that phone number. I called Paul back and he informed me / reminded me that we have a yearly contract with HSI for security monitoring. The contract was scheduled for renewal on April 2nd. I asked Paul to release us from the contract given we have been long-term customers and we are not happy with his service / lack of response. He said he would not make an exception. This is how Paul / HSI treats long-term customers. Only concerned with his pocketbook. Customer service skills / communication is rock bottom. His lack of honesty speaks volumes. What is really galling is this false information on the HSI homepage: Why Choose HSI? + No Contracts* + Best Price Guarantee + Quality You Can Afford + Professional and Knowledgeable Staff + 100% Satisfaction Commitment to Our Clients + Owner with over 30 Years of Industry Experience *Security systems using cellular require 12 month contract"
