"then our materials or any business that sells materials has a mark up, ours is 55-65% (depending on the material , large items are a little less than smaller items such as fittings) so a little more double the actual cost of the materials is a good rule of thumb so your bill was 1750 600 in materials so 1400 there then the 300 an hour ( that is a minimum charge for a site visit) so that is where the 1750 came from If the material was even marked up just 65% it would have only came to $990 not $1,400. Please check other plumbers before using Advanced Plumbing."

A liquid drain cleaner can sometimes make a clog worse over time if you use it improperly or too much. The chemicals in drain cleaners can corrode and damage pipes, causing cracks and leaks that may cause further blockages. If the clog is more than the liquid drain cleaner can handle, the cleaner will simply add chemicals to a bigger overall problem.

There are several indicators that your washing machine’s drain pump is bad, including incomplete cycles, water not draining, lack of spinning, a foul odor when the machine is running, and a loud grinding or buzzing noise when the pump is trying to move water down the drain.

In many cases, homeowners insurance can and does cover water leaks. If your plumbing is leaking because of an unexpected accident or breakdown, your policy likely covers the cost to remediate the problem. But if you simply haven’t been keeping up with appliance and fixture maintenance, you may not be able to get reimbursed for the repair.

Your homeowners insurance may also cover a water leak from your roof, particularly if the leak was caused by storm damage. If the leak stems from simple wear and tear on your roof—that is, your roof is old, and it’s about time to replace it—homeowners insurance likely won’t help.
