Customers say: Quick response

"Steve took on a job of concrete driveway cleaning and reclamation that other companies either said could not be done or could be done only at twice the cost. A third company even said we would have to replace the whole driveway. Steve got the job done and we were so pleased that we had him do our sidewalk and porch as well."

"Excellent. Brandon was professional, he was prompt, did everything he promised to do, his rates were very reasonable, his painting skills are phenomenal, his cleanup was immaculate, and he went the extra mile doing additional things for me. I really honestly can’t say enough good things about his work and his professionalism. I highly recommend hiring him for any painting that you need done. I will most definitely hire him again."

"A little more than 1 year ago, I had the good fortune to meet and hire Mary Jo of MJ Interiors to paint the inside rooms of our home. In the months to follow, she painted virtually ever room in our house! MJ was great to work with! She showed up when she said she would, was cheerful, efficient, and skilled. She cleaned up nicely when she finished each day. MJ was helpful and knowledgeable regarding the work to be done. I loved that she would offer ideas on color or technique, but was never pushy to do it her suggested way. MJ sincerely wanted us to be satisfied and happy with the finished product. We have loved the results, and look forward to working with MJ on other projects in the near future!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Ensure the site is clear of contractors and large equipment before the cleaning team arrives.

Costs depend on fabric type, drape size, cleaning method, and whether additional services like pressing or deodorizing are included.

Kitchen towels should be washed after significant use or every week in order to prevent food-borne illnesses. The rules are somewhat less strict for bathroom towels, but they should still be washed frequently, around every 3 to 5 days to help avoid any build-up of bacteria. Other recommendations say bathroom towels should be washed after every three uses.

To clean an old dishwasher without a filter, start by removing the bottom rack to access the drain area. Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior, paying special attention to the corners and crevices where food particles and debris can build up. Pour a cup of white vinegar into a dishwasher-safe bowl and place it on the top rack, then run a hot water cycle to help break down grease and grime. After the cycle, sprinkle a cup of baking soda across the bottom of the dishwasher and run a short hot water cycle to deodorize and further clean the interior.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.
