"We had half our windows replaced last year & are getting the balance replaced this year. Andy come to our home to look at our remaining windows, get us set up with new windows, & schedule the installation. Instead of just focusing on the remaining windows needing replacement he first checked the windows that had been replaced last year. "It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. He replaced the deck boards on time and for the price he quoted. I can now rest assured I won't be plunging through the deck this summer. Along the way, Hal fixed some off-kilter gates in our yard, and also consulted with me about some stains on our stucco (thus managing to solve a problem that had stumped several other contractors). He's always on the end of the line when I have a home repair question. He's been there for me for some five years now. There's plenty of quality workers out there, but not many who will listen as well, contribute as much, and return as often as Hal Morris."

"This was an experiment for me in use of an interior designer online. THe consultant was helpful in directing me to useful websites to review products and encouraged me to look widely and that was useful. Otherwise I found it difficult to use her services. The online aspect is one reason - looking at colors, e.g. wall colors and considering them for a particular space is difficult to do given than monitors and lighting change the look of things. Also, one cannot get the sense of e dimensional space from 2 dimensional tools In addition, she was only allowed to advise me on one room and I have an open space that includes living, dining and kitchen areas, all of which had to be considered together. It was frustrating that she was not allowed to think about the other spaces when I had to think about all of them together. The designer pushed me to choose a rug before choosing living room furniture but I preferred to choose the furniture first as it is more difficult to replace. She was not able to be flexible on this account. Also, when I did not seem interested in buying through their service she seemed to loose interest. It often took several days for the consultant to get back to me. That is the area where I most fault the individual as opposed to the set up of online consulting. In the end, I made my own choices and am happy with them. The experience gave me more confidence in my own instincts. "

Clint Hanson, owner, met with us yesterday and accepted full responsibility for the costs we incurred to correct a plumbing problem caused by his employees, as well as some major inconveniences they caused. My husband and I were deeply impressed with Clint's willingness to accept responsibility, incorporate new practices into his business and his commitment to righting the situation. We would probably use him again since his overall work was good and his is willing to discuss and take responsibility for these issues."
