"I wish I could give Innovative Basement Authority a negative rating. Run away from this company as fast as you can. Beware- they are changing their name to Ground Works. Probably because of all the negative reviews. We paid a substantial amount of money to install one of their basement systems after having water problems. The initial sales guy was a very high-pressure seller, trying to get us to sign a contract the same day he came out. Fast forward a year. They told us they needed to come out for an inspection. The sales guy ?found? $40,000 work of additional work that was ?urgent?. He used scare-tactics and tried to convince us we needed to sign on the dotted line immediately. Because of course mold is going to make my family sick. It seemed sketchy to me, but I was able to get the guy to leave without us signing that day. I immediately called our trusted home inspector, and he said the sales guy was trying to sell us things we did not need. He also said he had talked to others"

There are many possibilities for why your shower’s water pressure is low. It might be a simple-to-fix issue like the water valves being partially turned off, a dirty showerhead or hose, leaks in the plumbing, or an old showerhead. However, low water pressure in the shower could also indicate a larger issue with your home’s plumbing system.

To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

If you don’t have a sewer cleanout, clearing out clogs can be extremely difficult. You would need to try to clear the clog from sink drains, but it can be harder to reach the clog all the way in the drain line. A sewer cleanout makes it much faster and easier for pros to clear clogs from your main sewer line.

While you shouldn’t increase the flow of your low-flow toilet by adjusting the water level in the toilet bowl set by the manufacturer, you can make the flow as efficient as possible by ensuring the rim jets under the rim are unobstructed. To do this, use a mirror to look under the rim and scrub them with a toothbrush or a small wire to clear any debris stuck in the holes. You can also watch for leaks, make sure the internal components are in good shape, and replace them if necessary.
