"The only problem I saw was the barb wire was not straight on a 30 foot section and the dirt around a few of the posts was not packed right. The price was pretty good and they did the job the next day after estimate. One of the workers was kind of rude to me after the job was done? all in all I may hire them again but will get more than 1 estimate next time"

Landscaping Install business supporting the northern twin cities region. We have years of experience in installing landscaping products. I started driving equipment on the job site at age 6 and have been at it ever since. We also do stump removal services. Our current team is small lean, and extremely efficient. This allows us to take on all different types and sizes of products. We offer free estimates. We also do new landscaping designs, if you don't have a plan in place but want us to do something unique we charge a $50 design fee on most all residential projects with our design and estimate to get the project done; to serve you best if you don't know what you want is to give us a budget to work with so we can get the most done with what you want. Our designs and estimates are usually completed within 1-2 business days with a scheduled start date, and project duration estimate listed on your estimate if you choose to accept. For most projects, if you accept our estimate, we will require you to sign a contract with a 10% down payment to hold your spot on the calendar. This allows us to start the process of ordering material required for your project. If there are delays outside of our control (on our side) to start the project greater than 1 week your 10% can be refunded to start the project at a later date. We will keep all communication open with you if there is a change to the schedule. We require full payment on the date of the completion of the project. Projects longer than 1 week in duration will require a weekly payment schedule based off % completed on the project.

"A&M in-Ground Fence was referred to us from friends who spoke very highly of Curt and the products they received. We decided to go with A&M and couldn't be more impressed and appreciative for all that we got. The install went great and the communication and follow-up from Curt has always been A+. We also ran into a bad collar later on (under warranty) and the exceptional service from Curt continued where he helped us trouble shoot (first over the phone) and when that didn't work, he came to our house and fixed the issue. Don't think twice about going elsewhere."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

You can reuse chain link fences as long as they’re in good condition. The best part—reusing it helps you make the most of the cost of a chain link fence. Whether you want to reuse it or consider asking someone to remove it for you in exchange for a free fence, it’s possible. If you can’t find a location for it in your yard, you can repurpose a chain link fence by donating it to a local animal shelter or community garden.

To choose where to add a fence gate, know where fence gates shouldn’t go. For example, you should avoid placing gates over low spots on the ground where water can collect and form muddy puddles. Many ranchers install gates at the corner of a fence. Certain gate placements may also be required depending on the type of gate latch you use.

Deer can crawl under a fence if it has a gap of around 6 inches or more. Make sure to close all gaps at the bottom of your fence to keep deer out, and the bottom of the material should be tightly secured, or the deer will push right through it. As an added benefit, closing shorter gaps at the bottom of a fence can also keep rabbits out of your yard.

Removing fence posts that are set in concrete is something you can't do by hand. You will need an excavator, a strong post-puller, or a jackhammer. If you plan on recycling the concrete base, you may be able to cut the post out with a jackhammer and then set the new post in the existing base. However, it's usually better to remove both the fence post and concrete together. Due to the weight of concrete, you will need a hydraulic removal tool.

When considering how much of a gap should be under a fence or gate, a good rule of thumb is to keep gaps between 2 and 5 inches tall. This allows for some ground clearance for the gate but still provides safety for children and pets, who shouldn’t be able to squeeze through a gap of that size.
