"I live in the Portland, OR area, but needed help with my 70 y/o SIL's leaking trailer roof, south of Traverse City, MI. She's had a hard life & her husband recently passed away making her life harder. While some businesses might not view this job as worthy enough of their time, Ian, at Castles General Services, was gracious and accommodating. He made a special trip at the end of his work day to make sure the job got done on the same day so my SIL wouldn't have to deal with the leak for an additional night. He also made sure to get the many weeks worth of built up snow and ice off her roof. Then he came back a couple days later to secure the rest of her roof so there would be no additional leaks. Because he was fitting us in at the end of his day, both he and his wife stayed in touch with me throughout the day, until he was there. He was so kind to my SIL and treated her with compassion when she started crying. It's nice to know we have someone to help, when we live faraway."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Absolutely, they tailor their approach to address individual requirements, ensuring satisfaction on every visit.

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.

A handyperson is the professional term used to describe professional fixers who can tackle a wide range of general home repairs. Some pros may prefer to use the term handyworker, handyman, or handywoman, so we recommend politely asking your pro how they would like you to identify them during the project.

A contractor specializes in a specific field. They often operate in teams where they have subcontractors to handle specialized problems. So if you have significant plumbing, drywall, or roofing issues, you’ll want to hire a contractor, as the job may require a team.

A handyperson is typically one person who works on whatever jobs come their way. You wouldn’t call a contractor to fix the hinges on cabinets or paint your room. Instead, a handyperson can handle all these issues, saving you from making multiple phone calls.
