"Overpriced, way too many money mistakes. The crew tried to hide damage. Even though they claim a project mgr., I was told by many, "not my responsibility". When the finally came to correct an " oversight", I had to supplied both the paint and the BRUSH... and they left me to clean the brush. They quoted me (and charged me) for items they did not deliver. I had to work to get a refund. They left more than 100 nails on my neighbor's property. Do yourself a favor-get a cheaper source. You might have the same issues but at least you aren't paying a premium for them."

"***PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING WITH RAPID ROOFING!!!! Short story: Don't go with them - they do terrible work and you will regret it, but you probably won't know until it's too late. If you do, get *everything* inspected afterwards, and don't pay until it's right. Full story: We recently purchased a house with a roof done by Rapid Roofing 2021 or 2022. I went into the attic to figure out some ducting up there and noticed that there was ambering in the joists. I found out this was caused by over heating. I looked into this more, and figured out that there wasn't anywhere remotely enough air flow to allow hot, humid air to escape. What little ventilation was coming from the soffits It is 100% illegal and not to code to install roofs without the necessary airflow - it causes over heating which damages the roof and the wood, and can cause mold issues due to condensation. According to Michigan Building Code 1203.2 Ventilation required: "The net free ventilating area shall be not less than 1/150 of the area of the space ventilated." We're lucky if we have 1/10000 - there's ventilation at the roof ridge, but zero replacement air vent lower in the roof. They should have known that ventilation was required. We reached out to Rapid Roofing to see what it would take to fix this - they said it was out of warranty (you have to sign up within 1 year of purchasing the house to transfer it, which is BS, but I guess that was in the contract), but they said would see what they could do since they acknowledged it was their mistake. The head of customer service gave a long story about how their quality had gone down and he was trying to make things right now that he was in a position to do so. We had even suggested that we'd be willing to pay. After several calls with them promising to fix it strung out over months of us having to hound them because they don't return calls, they then stopped answering calls and ghosted us. So I guess we'll be paying to have someone else put in proper, legal venting. Don't use them. Don't trust them. Don't waste your money on them, you will regret it. We're looking into the possibility of suing them, you don't want to be in the same place as us in a few years."

More important, all parts of the roof replacement were discussed as options on the quote, as I expected some roof boards would need replacement for example. The cost per board was quoted, the choices of shingles were discussed, and Dominic was knowledgeable and friendly guiding me through the roof replacement process. Their website is also an excellent tool to understand roof replacement and choices, and see samples of their work. I knew someone who had contracted with Roof Advance a few years back who had excellent results, paid a fair price, and overall great experience with this firm. I found the same professional service all around, as the communication was detailed in emails, on the quote, and in-person, and they even have pics of your job in-progress posted on a website for you to see. My husband used to do roofing, and is very picky, so when he inspected the work - he was satisfied in the professional job especially around the chimney and other trouble spots where leaks can occur later. Clean-up was absolutely immaculate, and the entire job was completed in one day.
