"We hired Eric from Ray's Painting. Oh, my word, he was completely thorough, very polite, and couldn't have done a better job. He even reworked two areas that didn't satisfy him. Our house looks like the siding and trim was just installed. I would recommend him to anyone."

Small jobs welcome

"After getting quotes from a few people, a different contracted for another project reccomended we use home advisor. GR painting pro came out, he was professional, he had everything he needed to give a good estimate, he was honest about what was needed. The price wasn't the cheapest we had recieved but we could tell we we're going to get better service. The project was completed in the time frame he gave. He utilized a lot of equiptment to protect the surrounding areas from dust and damage. The project was removing water damaged drywall from a wall and ceiling - I was very nervous about it blending in and was scared we'd need a popcorn ceiling to cover - that was not the case! When we finally got around to painting, there was a small spot that needed sanding...the next day he was out to do it, even though it had been over a month and we hadn't said anything to him regarding it. The assurance that he will come back if we have issues or concerns really cements this business as honest and worth the money."

"The job went very, very well.  Rick and his partner Mark take great pride in their work.  Quality oriented, they don't cut corners on prep work, the products used, or paint application (which was all done by brush).  Both were pleasant, trustworthy and professional.  And, they cleaned up before they left each day!  The last day, they spent several hours perfecting their work--touching up here and there--and doing a final, more thorough clean up.
Before hand, I appreciated Rick's detailed answers of my many questions about prep work, types of paint, how paint would be applied, etc.  During the project, Rick kept me informed about arrival time.  They showed up on time each day (weather permitting) and worked diligently until the end of the day.
My husband and I are very pleased with the results. The house looks clean and fresh with its new protective cover of paint.
If you want painting done right, LeMasters Painting can help!  We highly recommend them!
P.S. They also do concrete staining, wood staining and faux painting.

Painting questions, answered by experts

Stain is meant to be absorbed by the porous wood, allowing some of the natural grain to show through. With that in mind, you don’t want to add more stain than the wood can absorb, as you risk covering up its natural markings. Generally, two coats is the maximum you should do, although very dense hardwoods may only be able to take a single coat.

Maintain your wattle fence by inspecting it at least twice per year for loose weaving and degrading branches. Replace any seriously degraded sections, ensure water drains properly around the posts, and trim any sprouting branches if you used green wood. If you notice the weave loosening, you can often tighten it by gently pushing down on the top branches. You can also apply a natural wood preservative every two to three years to extend the fence's lifespan.

The easiest way to stain a fence depends on your experience and comfort level with the project. Applying stain with an airless sprayer or pump sprayer might get the stain job done faster, but it can be tricky. Paint rollers and stain brushes are slower but simpler for a DIY project.

There’s no single paint that’s the most waterproof. Instead, there are several types of waterproof and water-resistant paints that suit different purposes. Epoxy paint, for instance, is commonly used to provide a waterproof coating to floors and decks. Masonry paint is an excellent choice for exterior walls. Meanwhile, there are waterproof acrylic paints that can be used for interior and exterior walls. It’s more about choosing the best type for what you’re painting instead of the most waterproof paint overall.

Maintaining a composite fence is pretty straightforward, as it doesn’t require staining or repainting. To keep it clean, scrub the fencing with a composite deck cleaner or hot, soapy water. Use a soft-bristle brush for the best results, and avoid using pressure washers or sanders. Plan to clean your fence at least twice a year. Scrubbing the fencing in the fall and spring can help prevent mold and mildew growth.
