"I recently hired Active Home Savers LLC to power wash the exterior surfaces of my home, and I couldnâ t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and incredibly thorough. They removed years of dirt and grime, leaving my home looking brand new. The attention to detail and dedication to quality service was evident throughout the entire process. Small jobs welcome

"They must have subcontracted a small group of movers. We only had big furniture that needed moving and it still took them 10 hours to disassemble/pack/load, then drive to our new home 20 min away, and unload/unpack/assemble. However, the job was well done with minimal damage. Most things were assembled well and not much we had to move/adjust"

"Amanda and her team really listened to our concerns and desires for the organizing project. Great communication between us, fantastic suggestions and support. I canâ t believe how wonderful it all turned out. My husband and I certainly could not have done this without her expertise and wise recommendations. I would definitely recommend using her services for anyone needing help with organizing their home, space, office, etc. We feel very blessed to have worked with her for the job. We plan on doing it again in the near future."

"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

The average cost to stage a home is around $1,800, with most sellers paying between $800 and $2,800 for professional services. However, the total cost can vary significantly, ranging from $500-$600 for an initial consultation to $5,000 or more for comprehensive, full-home staging.

The final price depends on several factors, including the home's size, location, and condition, as well as the number of rooms being staged. Other key cost drivers include whether you need to rent furniture, the quality of the decor, the stager's experience, and the duration of the staging services. The scope of the project also plays a role, from virtual staging and simple decluttering to full-service design, which may involve repairs and maintenance.

The main difference between a home stager and an interior designer is that the former creates temporary, generally appealing spaces, while the latter creates personalized design choices for your permanent home. A home stager seeks to depersonalize your home while also showing off the best features of the home to potential buyers. An interior designer works with you to infuse your personal style into the decor in your home. You’ll typically only hire a local home stager when selling your home.

To stage your home yourself, clean your home thoroughly to sell, leaving it gleaming like a five-star hotel. Less is best—always clear away clutter and anything personal so buyers can focus on the beauty of the rooms. Prospective buyers will check the closets, so investing in a storage space may be necessary.

Move furniture around, mix fabrics and decor, and de-cramp the room by removing any unnecessary furniture. A fresh coat of paint always helps, as do natural features like plants.

A professional home organizer helps people organize their space so they can live in a neater, more stress-free environment. They help with planning, coaching, and storage solution ideas to get your home in order—and keep it that way long-term.

Choosing a high-quality home stager can mean the difference between your home flying off the shelves or sitting on the market for weeks or months, and it all starts with verifying the stager’s experience. You can start by asking how long the professional has been in the business, and you should also ask for references and examples of past work in your particular area. Ask the stager about your options, including virtual staging, furniture rental, and other preparation services.
