Customers say: Quick response

"I reside in an apartment in Perrysburg, OH and my apartment complex contracts with Steamex and has been a client of theirs for quite some time. I have lived in the same apartment and have had a carpet cleaning once a year for the past 5 years. During each carpet cleaning, I have experienced wonderful service each time. The staff have always arrived within scheduled timeframe, the cleaning done in an efficient and timely manner, and shared pleasant conversations. I hope my apartment continues to contract with Steamex due to their wonderful services provided and excellent customer care."

"The entire staff was friendly, curteous and professional from start to finish. They arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and answered any and all of my questions. Although our carpet wasn't able to be stretched (apparently it was installed incorrectly) they did a very thorough job cleaning them and at a reasonable rate. Would definately recommend this company!"

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Suggesting regular dusting and spot cleaning to maintain freshness.

No, house cleaners or cleaning services do not need to be certified or licensed. Each state has its own requirements for licensing and certifications for companies, but most states don't require any special training to clean a home. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local guidelines for house cleaners and cleaning services.

To remove pet urine stains and odors from a microfiber couch, first blot the area to absorb as much liquid as possible. Then, generously cover the spot with baking soda and let it sit for a few hours to absorb the odor before vacuuming it up.

For cleaning the stain itself, you can use a commercial urine stain and odor removal spray—be sure to follow the product's instructions.

Alternatively, you can use a DIY solution based on your couch's cleaning code:

  • For 'S' code couches: Lightly spritz the stain with rubbing alcohol and gently scrub with a microfiber cloth.

  • For 'W' or 'S-W' code couches: Use a mixture of one cup of vinegar and one cup of rubbing alcohol, spritzing and scrubbing the area gently.

When using a carpet shampooer, following the manufacturer’s instructions when choosing a cleaning solution is best, especially if you’re renting a shampooer.

Yes. Taking care of carpet tiles is very similar to taking care of a broadloom carpet floor. Once the glue holding them down is cured, you can vacuum carpet tiles just like other carpeted areas. They’ll stand up to plenty of foot traffic, furniture placement, and other wear and tear.
