He responded right away, got me on the schedule, and handled the entire job with complete professionalism. The work itself was fast, incredibly efficient, and left the area looking completely spotless. "Very good job cleaning the roof. The only downside was that the roof cleaning solution left a film on my windows that they did not rinse off completely. However, once I rinsed the windows better they were very clean. Contract did not recoil my hoses properly as they were before he used them."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Professional lead removal involves identifying and safely removing or encapsulating lead-based paints and materials, using specialized equipment, and following strict safety procedures to minimize exposure and contamination.

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

Follow recommendations for removal or remediation to ensure a safe living environment.

Professional lead-paint abatement companies use a variety of methods to remove lead-based paint, depending on each particular situation. Some of the most common methods include:

  • Total removal: $8–$17 per square foot

  • Demolition and replacement: $1,000–$15,000 per project

  • Encapsulation: $4 per square foot

  • Enclosure: $10 per square foot

  • Chemical stripping: $10–$17 per square foot
