We do not manufacture windows or doors for homes nor do we use Insulated glass. Strafford Window Mfg. manufacturers custom wood windows for barns, sheds, stables, pool houses, cabin, porches and interior applications in the home. Our windows are made of all wood and single strength glass. Call for pricing on Tempered glass. Strafford Window MFG. manufactures Sashes, Transoms, Single Hung Window Units, Hopper Window Units, Fixed Window Units and Screens.

"These windows are solid, well built and look great. I will be ordering more for my house."

I am local builder that uses local employees and sub contractors. I was trained union journeyman carpenter in the Detroit area and moved back to the northern area after about ten years in the city. My company can handle commercial jobs as well as new homes or additions, pole barns, etc. I am also green certified builder and was trained recently as a energy analyst

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

Hurricane Film questions, answered by experts

Yes, your roof will leak if you have missing or damaged shingles. Severely damaged or missing shingles are essentially holes in your roof, leading to water seeping into your attic and ceilings. The underlayment underneath your roofing is a secondary form of protection, so you should fix shingle damage and replace missing ones as quickly as possible.

Standard homeowners insurance policies do not cover floods or earthquakes. These natural disasters are only covered by secondary policies or as an add-on via your current provider. This is because not all areas are prone to these types of disasters, so not every homeowner should have to pay for this type of coverage if it won’t be used.

Your insurance premium may increase if you file a roof claim or any other type of claim. Changes to your premium will depend on your insurance company, the size of the claim, and the number of claims you’ve made. Insurers may also increase rates at renewal based on factors outside of your control, such as changing weather patterns.

In many cases, yes, homeowners insurance covers roof damage caused by snow. For example, if your roof collapses in a snowstorm or an ice dam leads to a leak in your ceiling, your policy should cover the cost of repairs. However, to get your claim approved, your roof must be well-maintained and in good condition overall, aside from the recent snow-related damage.

The average cost to repair hail damage to a home is around $1,100, but you could pay anywhere from $250 to $3,000 or more, depending on the extent of the necessary repairs. If a hail damage repair company determines your roof is too old or too damaged to be worth repairing, then you might pay an average of $9,200 to replace your roof. Excessive hail damage may be covered by your homeowner’s insurance policy or a home warranty, so check those policies before paying out of pocket for roof repair or replacement.
