"I personally feel like he does an amazing job on tree cutting, trimming, stump grinding. He is on time, very reasonable price range, and overall very friendly. If you tell him what you want done, he does it exactly right and maybe even better. I do stump grinding for him and sometimes chipping brush, and all the neighbors stand by and watch with a smile on there faces, an then later that week he gets a call from a few of the neighbors. He sets a good example for me and the 3 other high school workers along with the adults. But I definitely recommend M and M tree service if you want the job done right and fast"

"Andy came personally to give us an estimate.  He was on time, personable and professional.  The date was set for the following week.  Crew arrived ON TIME - they worked safely and quickly.  All the work was completed as promised.  The cleanup from taking down the trees was amazing.  I highly recommend their services!"

"Great job! I had 3 trees removed and 3 trimmed. Lanning did a great job trimming and removing the trees especially since the trees were over the house and power lines. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. Very satisfied with the entire job."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

Although the terms tree trimming and tree pruning are used interchangeably, they are very different types of tree maintenance. Tree trimming involves enhancing the appearance of your tree by removing unruly branches, providing your tree with ample sunlight and nutrients and prevents unsightly overgrowth.

Tree pruning helps keep your trees disease-free. This process removes unhealthy growths, dead branches, and other unhealthy parts of the tree. It’s more common for deciduous and ornamental trees but not so common for evergreen trees. To determine which method you need, discuss it with a tree trimming specialist.

If the roots are still alive, the dead tree will usually try to put out new shoots. That doesn’t mean the tree will survive or that the dead parts of a tree will come back to life. If parts of the tree have died and turned gray or rotten, nothing will bring them back to life and they need to be safely removed.

On grafted trees, tree suckers will grow from the root stock, not the branches grafted onto it. Therefore, the leaves and characteristics of the suckers aren’t the same as the tree because they are different varieties. Root stock has more hardiness, strength, or drought tolerance than its grafted limbs, so if the suckers are from fruit or flowers, it might be different than the main part of your tree.

If you don’t cut down a dead, dying, or diseased tree, it can become a nesting place for pests like mosquitos, bees, beetles, wasps, fly larvae, and more. Some pests will live in the tree, while others will feed off the decaying wood. Unhealthy trees are also more likely to fall over, potentially injuring people and causing damage to your property.
