"The work they did was fine, but the marketing department needs to chill out. I tried multiple times to unsubscribe from their emails and phone calls, but they just kept coming. I finally had to block them. I ordered gutters without any filter because the only option they offer is the comically huge gutter helmet. I later installed leaf filters myself."

"I REALLY liked the salesperson that we bought it from. HE was excellent. When there was a glitch with our siding order, he came back out to check things out. HOWEVER, the guy who put up our siding was not real particular. He cut off our gutters when they were to be removed and re-hung. I AM pleased that the company replaced them without any hassle. The siding was over hanging the gables. It wasn't until we said something that he fixed it. That was the overall problem. Unless we caught a problem, it would have remained. While it might be our house itself, the siding installment is not what I'd consider "A". I don't think that I should be the one pointing out mistakes and getting them fixed. I think that they should have just been fixed. I'm glad that the guy was nice. But the end result was not installed like we had pictured."

"We interviewed three reputable firms for the work and though Yeager Roofing's bid was higher, they addressed several issues in the project the other firms didn't even note.  You will find that their standard is not "Code" but "Code Plus."

First, their sales associate arrived on time for the inspection/information appointment.  He inspected the attic, went on the roof, and photographed both those areas to show us.  He spent three hours with us and sent us a final quote the next day.

After we chose Yeager Roofing, the office staff and our salesman contacted us once a week to update us on the start date.

Once the job began, the crew arrived every morning between 7 and 8 a.m. and worked until 5 or 6 in the evening.  They protected areas around the house with tarps and their trash removal system.  Each day whatever work was begun was completed before leaving.  Each night when they left the work site was left in immaculate condition.  As a result, there was NO damage or disruption to our home.

Their work was of the highest quality as seen in the neatness and fit of all the cuts of the trim and gutters; and attention to details we couldn't see: replacing boards and plywood sheathing where needed.

Both the owner and our salesman were on site to ensure our final satisfaction with the job.  We are very pleased with all the work they performed and would GLADLY recommend them and hire them again."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Any small amount of standing water can be damaging to your gutters. It’s recommended that a ¼ inch puddle or more should be addressed. Failure to keep water from pooling in your gutters can result in clogs, algae growth, and pests that damage your gutters over time.

It’s technically possible to remove some soffit material without removing your gutters, but it’s usually a good idea to remove gutters, fascia, and soffit and then reinstall them in the opposite order. Replacing soffits without removing gutters is likely to leave you with a less professional and clean appearance, and you’re more likely to do damage to your gutters and fascia boards in the process.

Regular cleaning, checking for leaks, and ensuring that downspouts direct water away from the foundation help prolong gutter life.

Unless you've chosen to install underground downspouts, your gutter downspouts shouldn't touch the ground. If they come into contact with the soil or pavement next to your home, rainwater can back up into them during a storm, preventing them from doing their job effectively. Instead, aim to have your downspouts end about 12 inches from the ground.

When you need to repair your galvanized gutters from leaks and caulk isn’t doing the job, you can solder your gutters with a roofer’s soldering iron. First, you’ll need to clean your gutters thoroughly with a wire brush and remove rust and oxidized paint. Next, you’ll make weld points on the gutter and solder over the connection until it’s completely smooth. You can also hire a roofing company near you to tackle this project.
