We loved the design that Lake Street Design came up with. They hired the general contractor. Many days he just failed to show up. I would have to call the studio and ask if he was coming. Then the shoddy work started. The inlaid marble tiles were put down in the wrong configuration even AFTER thoroughly going over how it was to go down AND marking it on the floor. The contractor stated that he thought it would look better a certain way and said \"the designers don't always get it right\". I told him I really liked the way the designers drew it out and wanted it to stay that way. Still it went in wrong. I had to call the studio immediately and have him come back that night to take it up before it dried and get the tiles down properly. He was at our house until after 9 pm that night. Really inconvenient. Then after evaluating the \"new\" inlaid tile configuration, it looked like a kindergarten project. The tiles were crooked and very uneven. It was a mess. I had to call the studio again and the designer came out first thing in the morning to see for herself. She agreed it was sloppy and, again, it needed to be removed. At this point I suggested that we get a \"real\" tile person but was assured by both the designer and the contractor that he \"could do it. (They) will make it right. (I'll) be happy\". Foolishly, I agreed to let him continue. Then the cabinets were installed - three times. First they were installed up against the left wall and not centered on the light fixture. The contractor said that was how it was drawn. I remember thinking \"really? You wanted to instill your own design because the designers \"don't always get it right\" but you can't see that a cabinet is centered on a light fixture?\" Weird. Then he moved it to the right - too far. Finally, on the third try he got it centered. There are three holes in the back of my custom cabinets. A false back had to be installed to cover all the holes for the plumbing. Then there were excessive scratches on the face of drawers and doors and new faces had to be ordered. While the contractor was putting up ceiling tiles, one or more fell onto the tub and chipped it. This was brought to our attention by our plumber, not the contractor. I also told the contractor that some of the ceiling tiles were crooked and not flush or flat to the ceiling and was told \"it would be fine\". It's not fine, they look like they are falling off. The marble threshold to the shower broke and this was covered up with a cloth and was discovered by myself, the designer and the glass installation man. Tiles on the back wall of the shower had to be redone because the contractor measured wrong. The tub had to be reordered because the contractor broke a huge piece off of the rim when moving it. It was full of the plumbing hardware and he didn't bother to take them out when moving it and it was so heavy the rim broke. The contractor said it was cracked to begin with but it wasn't. The shower bench wasn't sloped properly and water pools. The backing of tiles is exposed on most tile edges instead of being sanded down. Many tiles were installed broken. Caulk was used instead of grout in at least two places (and that is very noticeable). Grout lines throughout the bathroom are inconsistent and many tiles are crooked and uneven. The designer and also measured one wall incorrectly resulting in a bigger shower which they said we made the change, but it was because it was measured incorrectly from the start. He also painted the ceiling without first taping and mudding a seam in the ceiling. Really shows. So the bathroom is finally finished and the whole thing is a mess. We had the designers come back and look at the finished room and pointed out the bad tile work and seam in the ceiling. The designers and my husband and I agreed to seek out industry \"experts\" on tiling for their opinion. Lake Street Design brought in a brother-in-law of the designer. We brought in 3 tile people, 2 work exclusively with marble and granite and one of which is a speciality craftsman with CTEF certification. In other words, we found \"experts\" and Lake Street Design brought in family. Did I mention that the whole bathroom is marble? This was supposed to be our \"retreat spa-like bathroom\". Anyway, all three of our experts thought the job was mediocre at best and would not leave a job/install like that. One even said the installer should throw away his tools!! Even the plumbers and my cleaning help (who both work around tile a lot) thought the quality was not good. At this point. Lake Street Design started to not return my calls. Their suggested solution was to remove and replace a \"couple of bad tiles\" AND the SAME contractor would do the work! My husband and I felt we had given the designers and this contractor too many chances to make it right and felt this was not an option at this point. We contacted a lawyer and Lake Street Design suggested mediation. I have timelines and pictures of everything that happened and we finally came to an agreement where Lake Street Design waived our final bill and had to provide all new marble tiles, wallpaper, under floor heating pad and rock for the shower. It will still cost us more to fix this bathroom than what our outstanding bill was. Lake Street Design should have paid to have the bathroom redone properly by a competent contractor. It was only after we were into the project that we found out that the contractor was the husband of one of the designers at Lake Street Design. It was not a good renovation and I would never recommend Lake Street Design to anyone because they did not stand behind their work. One of the designers said she would be proud to have that bathroom. She has low standards because that bathroom quality was terrible."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/petoskey/lake-street-design-studio-reviews-4691802.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Hanson Roofing Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Richard M."},"reviewBody":"The experience was outstanding. We agreed to have them put on a new roof and new gutters and downspouts, and their crew came out and did the entire roof in one day. They completely cleaned everything up, and even went over the grass with a big magnet to make sure they got all the nails. They have given an unconditional 30-year guarantee on the roof. We had a lot of the granules coming off in the first year, and we could see the dark gray granules on our white patio, and I was concerned that we were perhaps losing more granules than necessary. I called Hanson up and they came out the same day. They asked me if it was convenient for them to come out at 3 o' clock and I agreed and the guy was out here at 3 o' clock. He got out a ladder, climbed up on the roof and took pictures. He told me that everything was fine with my roof and that I had a couple of nails that were popping out a little bit on the ridge vent and that he would take care of them. He took care of the nails and off he went. They now come out every year and inspect it and they are going to do that for 30 years. I am not going to say that they were the cheapest since they weren't, but I don't know of anybody else that unconditionally guarantees their product for 30 years. The price sounded pretty much in line with what everybody else was charging. I was absolutely flabbergasted when they said that they could come out the same day and they did."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/evanston/hanson-roofing-inc-reviews-74984.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Biondo Cement Co Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Richard M."},"reviewBody":"They did a very nice job and it looks really great. They did the job near the end of September 2010 and they told me that I should not use salt on the driveway. I said that was no problem and I anyway don't even own a bag of salt. It started to get real blotchy looking during the winter because my driveway and patio are stamped by concrete. The patio slightly showed a little bit but the driveway was really bad. The very last snowfall we had was a very small amount of perhaps an inch, and I found that the driveway was cracked from one side to the other. The snow was sitting on top of the crack but there was no snow anywhere else on the driveway and that seemed kind of odd. I called Biondo, and going by their answer, they weren't real energetic to do anything, and they come very highly recommended. We continued on and on and the owner of the company finally came out and looked at it and he offered a remedy to fix it, which frankly, wasn't something I was going to approve of. He basically wanted to cut out a section of the concrete where the crack was, re-pour it and dye it again, and stamp it with the pattern that we have on the border to try and blend it in. All of this concrete was pretty expensive, and after several months of my wife and I conferring back and forth, we finally decided that something had to be done about the driveway because it was totally unacceptable. We got him back out again and he brought out several other workers and planned to do the modification or the repair to the driveway that day. The driveway was wet when he had looked at it the first time because it had been raining and the blotchiness didn't show up quite as bad. It was perfectly dry when he came out this time and he looked at it, and one of his people that had installed the driveway said that he had never seen anything like this and that there was something wrong. The end result is that they have agreed to replace the driveway. They are going to come back in the spring and completely take out the driveway and redo it. There is a chance that it is faulty concrete. They have asked me to pay a portion to help cover the labor cost to fix that. My wife and I don't have a problem with that at all. It looked beautiful when we first saw it and everybody said so, and I I would have to say that the quality is excellent in spite of what happened. Their responsiveness has to be knocked down a bit because they didn't exactly welcome me with open arms. It took e-mails and a lot of phone calls to get them to respond. The punctuality was good and they were here when they said they would be here."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/utica/biondo-cement-co-inc-reviews-2605557.htm"},"position":10}]}

We have a 5 star Cleaning Division as well specializing in VRBO/Air B&B Turnovers.
"TimberRidge Pro did a fine job on our master bath renovation . AJ was great at offering ideas and suggestions for products to use. He actually met us at Home Depot to help us make choices! That was VERY impressive! He began our job 2 weeks early (what contractor does that?) and had all of our products ready to go. He covered all of the areas leading to the bathroom and kept the job site neat and clean. That is also a biggie, because many contractors and their helpers leave messes! Not TimberRidge Pro! They clean up their worksites as if they were their own homes. After 6 days, we had a new entire shower, vanity with lighted mirror, sink and quartz sinktop, new luxury vinyl flooring, all new lighting, a plumbing problem from the old shower resolved, a new access panel to the shower installed, and the bathroom painted nicely. We had an issue with the glass shower door. It came in defective from the supplier. AJ obtained a new shower door that was much sturdier, tore out the bad one and replaced it with a much better door. (We split the cost of the upgraded glass door). AJ honored all of the line items in our contract and totally took care of some minor things on our punch list with ease. His price was reasonable and our new master bath looks amazing! We would highly recommend TimberRidge Pro for your next bathroom project and we would certainly use this contractor again!"

FAQs for patio cover service projects in Harbor Springs, MI
While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost of an awning is $1,400 to $4,400 on average. However, this cost could be as low as $100 or as high as $7,500, depending on a few factors. The type of awning you choose, the size you need, and your location all affect your overall cost.
For example, portable awnings you can put up and take down yourself range from $100 to $400, whereas motorized awnings are more luxurious and cost between $2,000 and $3,500.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.
Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.
Besides the type of awning, you’ll need to choose the type of cover. Your awning installation professional will review your options with you, including availability and costs. The types of covers you can choose from include:
Wood, which is durable but can be damaged easily by rainwater and fire
Cotton offers flexibility, weatherproofing, and easy cleaning
Canvas is highly durable and is a good choice for retractable awnings
Metal is sturdy but is prone to rust
Polyester is easy to clean and is a more breathable option
Polycarbonate is highly resistant to UV rays and is difficult to damage
