When we called to set up a date for repair, they came out the same week! I had expected the job to take all day but they worked hard and were gone shortly after lunch. The job turned out to be more work than was expected because the chimney was in bad shape and the back corner of our house was falling off and had to be completely rebuilt. Lee (the owner) did the extra work at the original price they quoted us and took me on a thorough walk through to show me what was done. "Great experience from start to finish. Tim did a good job with the estimate, explaining what he would do, the materials he would use, and why. MHI was not the low bid, but Tim's professionalism with the estimate made me confident that MHI would do the job correctly. We experienced a massive fishfly invasion the day Tim's team came to do the painting. Tim decided to take the removable pieces back to the shop to do the work. (This meant adding a round trip from St Clair Shores to Troy to the job). They used blowers and built a plastic tent around the one load bearing post that could not be removed to keep it fishfly free during the process. The repainted shutters and porch trim look great!"
