"A big shout out thanks to Sam, Mike and Sherry. They did a fantastic job here installing the windows in the excruciating heat. Super courteous and very informative on what they were doing. They did need a little more heads up on the aluminum windows because they were the hardest thing of their entire day. We really enjoyed the crew. They were very knowledgeable and helpful on everything that they did they worked well together. Thank you to the entire crew of workers and all your staff have been extremely courteous and helpful. I will recommend your company over and over very pleased! Thank You"

"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

"Although the company was quite busy and running late both days, we were able to get our broken glass replaced quickly after the initial estimate appointment. Both young men (estimator and installer) were polite and helpful. They even cleaned the new windows. Would definitely hire them again."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Replacing window glass instead of the entire window is more cost-effective, maintains the frame's aesthetics, and reduces waste. It improves insulation and energy efficiency and can be completed more quickly with minimal disruption to the home.

Smart glass may still work at night, but it depends on the type of smart glass. Some options, smart tint, are controlled by outdoor heat and light and therefore will turn back to transparent at night. Other types can provide a frosted look for some privacy at night. For example, you can turn PDLC smart glass completely opaque any time, day or night.

Getting a streak-free shine after cleaning your windows requires both the right cleaning solutions—which can either include warm water and dish soap or warm water and rubbing alcohol—and the right tools—namely, a squeegee and a microfiber cloth. To make your streak-free glass cleaner, combine one gallon of warm water with a few drops of dish soap, and mix. Apply with a sprayer or sponge, and then dry with a squeegee, microfiber cloth, or old black-and-white newspaper pages.

This happens when condensation forms due to your room temperature being lower than its dew point. You can clean the glass with a combination of baking soda, vinegar, and warm water to wipe away the fog from the doors.

Distilled white vinegar removes stickers from glass by breaking down the adhesive with its acidic qualities. You can apply the vinegar to the area with a sponge or cleaning cloth. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then scrape the area with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card.
