The right psi for your well pressure tank depends on the tank’s pressure settings. For instance, if yours is set to 30/50 psi (which is common), the ideal psi is 2 to 3 psi below the cut-on pressure—in other words, 27 to 28 psi. However, if it’s at a higher setting of 40/60 psi, 38 psi would be the appropriate level.

If you have a self-cleaning washing machine but you’re still seeing lint, your water pump filter might be clogged. To clean it, you should unscrew the drain hose, then remove the water pump filter.
