They usually can. This was my third visit. The first time the nail tech couldn't seem to understand that I didn't want the white tip to cover more than the grown out part of my nail. I gave up after 3 attempts to explain. The second visit, the shellac was put on so thick that after 24 hours, as it loosened from the skin around my fingers, it pretty much peeled off. This last visit, I went back there......I had witnessed unprofessional, borderline rude service to clients at Top Nails.......not sure where else to go in Cadillac.....this trip to Roses Nails was my last. When attempting to take the remaining shellac off my nails, the nail tech ground so far down what the Dremel tool that she drew blood!!! She said NOTHING when she did this. And one again, the shellac was applied very thick, very sloppy, and now a week later is peeling off creating very rough areas that catch on everything! Each time I visited, I had a different technician so I don't feel like these were isolated incidents. I've been told to try Navarre Hair Studio for my Manicures. I always get simple, shellac French manicure. We'll see how it goes. There was water everywhere, including the electrical system which set off the smoke alarms at 6:30 am. ServPro removed all the ceiling insulation, some wall insulation & ran large industrial fans for about a week jacking the utilities bills sky high which they seemed to feel no obligation to pay. I live on a fixed SS income so billed my insurance for that expense. It was all downhill from there. I was re-located to a motel. AND there I sat for two mos with nothing done by ServPro. I visited the the condo every weekend, wk after wk & nothing was done. I spent Christmas and New Year's at McGuires because ServPro couldn't get their act together. Funny how they could get things done (sort of) when the insurance money ran out and they were forced to get the condo livable for me. They basically had Mon-Wed to paint the entire condo (twice, moving all furniture) so the carpet could be laid Thurs-Fri. All my stuff was packed in boxes stacked to the ceiling in the garage. Insurance paid them to help unpack boxes due to my physical limitations. It was at least 2 mos before that was finished. They seemed oblivious to my frustrations. I spent most of the 6 mos waiting for them to come back to do work. I dare say they weren't here over 2 wks out of the 6 months. They used a psychological abuse called gaslighting...telling me I didn't remember the way things were before, paint on the cupboards, and a screw sticking upward out of the counter top, etc. Oh, you were just gone a long time, you don't remember that paint was on your cupboards...insinuating some kind of memory loss or that I was an old crazy lady. That is a technique abusive people use to get away with their abuse--instill thoughts that someone is losing their memory or going insane. Didn't work on me. Made me furious. The main worker, Jeff, is oblivious to his surroundings. All my stuff was shoved up against other stuff, (they took a gouge out of my bed frame, and deep scratches in a coffee table and TV table that is solid oak and cost $500). The plastic on the sofa wasn't over the sofa sometimes, like someone had raised it to sit down, then forgot to cover it again which caused the sofa to become very dirty with all that insulation dust & dry wall. The blinds at the slider window sat on top of my dinette table which was shoved against the slider and they were bent and full of insulation dirt, just an awful mess. Someone at McGuires commented that, "There is someone in there who is not aware of his surroundings, and being aware of your surroundings is what being a contractor is all about." She hit the nail on the head. Remember that if you ever hire them which I would never do again. They LOST the large living room mirror, scratched and took gouges out of furniture, broke a china platter, canister, Thomas Kinkaid figurine all of which they did reimburse me for, but I suffer severe degenerative arthritis, using a walker most of the time, unable to shop and all this was a great inconvenience and disappointment. I didn't expect someone would come into my home and wreck things that weren't even part of the flood. Also there was money taken out of a jar where I keep loose change. It was 1/3 filled and was down to 1/4. I can't prove they took the money or someone else like the carpet layer or dry-waller but someone who was in here took it and obviously someone wasn't supervising. They broke the front entry tiles, took out a row and extended the carpeting (without ever discussing this problem or admitting to error), but then they dropped something in the middle of the tiles and had to replace all of them. I mean talk about a Three Stodge event. Jeff was very noisy and clumsy, always dropping stuff when he was around me. He blamed the dry-waller but didn't seem to "know for sure who did it." II sure as heck would be finding out if I had to pay for someone's tiles. You decide that They lied saying they no longer made 8" tiles like what was here, so they put in 13" tiles. Later I found they make every size tile but apparently ServPro didn't want to put forth the effort or cost to replace equal with equal. They are cheap and cut corners wherever possible. They replaced the chandelier with a floor model from Ludington and couldn't take it back when it was too big so I'm stuck with it. They didn't put in a sub-floor before laying the tiles. They put some metal thing in between the carpet and tiles that actually hurts to step on because the carpet and tiles are on different levels without the sub-floor. Their solution was to get a bound rug to throw there to prevent stepping on that metal that stands upright. Frankly, it's dangerous. The grout job is horrific. He cut the tile so poorly, he had to fill in all the extra empty space with extra grout which looks like a child did it. There is not enough grout at the doorway or in between the tiles and each week more tile comes out like a sandy grit. They forgot to carpet the coat closet so dumped off a huge roll of extra carpeting which is lying in my dining room because it's too heavy for me to lift. Don't expect compassion when they walk out on a job. I asked both supervisors, Nick and Bruce, to come look at the tile job and the ruined counter tops, etc. They sent a sub-contractor from Van Dries with commercial tiles rather than glossy ceramic tiles for the entryway. Commercial tile is cheaper but needs special treatment for washing. They were ugly. It was a set-up. I said I didn't like any of them (which made me look like a complainer once again). Commercial tile is dull and usually has pieces of material in it to prevent slippage in a bldg. It wasn't what was in this condo originally. Looked like it should go on an outside patio. Sent Nick a link from Home Depot of a tile I liked that was 8" and he allegedly was getting Home Depot to order a sample to bring over. I confronted him about why he would try and put commercial tile in this condo, and they WALKED off the job, saying I couldn't be pleased. How convenient. Confront them and they bail and blame me. Don't count on them. I had asked supervisor, Nick, to come look at the horrible paint job and the tile job. For the paint job, Jeff came first, asking t see the areas that needed a touch-up and said Nick would be there later. By time Nick arrived, Jeff had painted all the places that needed it. No problem, right? They had that one figured out. Paint still came off another wall washing a black mark with a dishrag and they had to repaint that wall (small wall). In all they did 4 paint touch-ups. The color barely resembles what was chosen because they used a different paint and only painted the walls once which makes them look greenish. It will never last. Already chips and nicks have happened. Terrible paint job. Jeff had to sand and stain cupboards in the kitchen due to the over spray because he tried to spray paint the laundry room and bathroom which didn't work out. I don't know any professional painter who goes into a home that is already built and lived in and spray paints. They do that in new homes where no one is yet living. The bathroom mirror was covered in paint. The cupboards and floor had paint on them. A mess and unprofessional. They insisted they painted the walls twice which never happened. When I asked them HOW they could miss areas twice if the walls were painted twice, their response was "Good question" and left it at that, feeling no obligation to answer my question. They would stand and whisper about things and I knew they were discussing how to cover up some of their mistakes. I've done better paint jobs in my lifetime. I think the main reason is because they dragged their feet for 2 mos without doing anything, and then had to paint the entire condo in about 3 days and couldn't possibly paint it all in time. We agreed to have them put on a new roof and new gutters and downspouts, and their crew came out and did the entire roof in one day. They completely cleaned everything up, and even went over the grass with a big magnet to make sure they got all the nails. They have given an unconditional 30-year guarantee on the roof. We had a lot of the granules coming off in the first year, and we could see the dark gray granules on our white patio, and I was concerned that we were perhaps losing more granules than necessary. I called Hanson up and they came out the same day. They asked me if it was convenient for them to come out at 3 o' clock and I agreed and the guy was out here at 3 o' clock. He got out a ladder, climbed up on the roof and took pictures. He told me that everything was fine with my roof and that I had a couple of nails that were popping out a little bit on the ridge vent and that he would take care of them. He took care of the nails and off he went. They now come out every year and inspect it and they are going to do that for 30 years. I am not going to say that they were the cheapest since they weren't, but I don't know of anybody else that unconditionally guarantees their product for 30 years. The price sounded pretty much in line with what everybody else was charging. They did the job near the end of September 2010 and they told me that I should not use salt on the driveway. I said that was no problem and I anyway don't even own a bag of salt. It started to get real blotchy looking during the winter because my driveway and patio are stamped by concrete. The patio slightly showed a little bit but the driveway was really bad. The very last snowfall we had was a very small amount of perhaps an inch, and I found that the driveway was cracked from one side to the other. The snow was sitting on top of the crack but there was no snow anywhere else on the driveway and that seemed kind of odd. I called Biondo, and going by their answer, they weren't real energetic to do anything, and they come very highly recommended. We continued on and on and the owner of the company finally came out and looked at it and he offered a remedy to fix it, which frankly, wasn't something I was going to approve of. He basically wanted to cut out a section of the concrete where the crack was, re-pour it and dye it again, and stamp it with the pattern that we have on the border to try and blend it in. All of this concrete was pretty expensive, and after several months of my wife and I conferring back and forth, we finally decided that something had to be done about the driveway because it was totally unacceptable. We got him back out again and he brought out several other workers and planned to do the modification or the repair to the driveway that day. The driveway was wet when he had looked at it the first time because it had been raining and the blotchiness didn't show up quite as bad. It was perfectly dry when he came out this time and he looked at it, and one of his people that had installed the driveway said that he had never seen anything like this and that there was something wrong. The end result is that they have agreed to replace the driveway. They are going to come back in the spring and completely take out the driveway and redo it. There is a chance that it is faulty concrete. They have asked me to pay a portion to help cover the labor cost to fix that. My wife and I don't have a problem with that at all. It looked beautiful when we first saw it and everybody said so, and I I would have to say that the quality is excellent in spite of what happened. Their responsiveness has to be knocked down a bit because they didn't exactly welcome me with open arms. It took e-mails and a lot of phone calls to get them to respond. The punctuality was good and they were here when they said they would be here."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/utica/biondo-cement-co-inc-reviews-2605557.htm"},"position":9}]}

FAQs for patio cover service projects in Cadillac, MI
While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost of an awning is $1,400 to $4,400 on average. However, this cost could be as low as $100 or as high as $7,500, depending on a few factors. The type of awning you choose, the size you need, and your location all affect your overall cost.
For example, portable awnings you can put up and take down yourself range from $100 to $400, whereas motorized awnings are more luxurious and cost between $2,000 and $3,500.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.
Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.
Besides the type of awning, you’ll need to choose the type of cover. Your awning installation professional will review your options with you, including availability and costs. The types of covers you can choose from include:
Wood, which is durable but can be damaged easily by rainwater and fire
Cotton offers flexibility, weatherproofing, and easy cleaning
Canvas is highly durable and is a good choice for retractable awnings
Metal is sturdy but is prone to rust
Polyester is easy to clean and is a more breathable option
Polycarbonate is highly resistant to UV rays and is difficult to damage
