Professional Handyman Services. I can take care of the small problems around your house, doors that don't open or close properly, windows that won;t open, etc. I can also handle larger projects like full basement finishing, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, roofing, room addition, deck building. Michigan Residential Builders License #2101202125

"Jim is quite the professional. He was prompt and explained the work to be done, how long it would take and the overall price. He met all my expectations. His helper was also polite and respectful. When the job was done you would have never known that he'd been there - he cleaned the area just as he found it. I would defintely hire him again."

"The whole job went very smoothly. Derek was very professional, and came here to work. We have been searching for a local handyman to take care of projects around our new home, and we believe we found the right guy for the job. Will hire again! Did excellent work"

The job is only done when it's done right, it's not only common courtesy, it's common sense.

DBA: LOWE'S OF SOUTH BEND, IN #2593.

"1. They showed up as promise to give us an estimate. 2. They started a week before they said they would. 3. The built one sturdy deck and a ramp with a gentle slope so my wife can get down in her wheelchair. 4. It took three days to complete the work."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.

The ceiling box should have an inscription stating that it supports the operation of the ceiling fan. If it’s not included, you should purchase a fan-rated junction box and a fan brace so you can install the box between joists, where it’ll provide the most support for the fan’s weight.

Ceiling fans require periodic cleaning of blades to avoid dust accumulation, checking screws and connections for firmness, and occasional lubrication for components, keeping the fan running smoothly and quietly over time.
