"I booked Jezak through Angi for assembly of two bedside units. Before the appointment, I had sent him the product link and we agreed on a price. He arrived on time, looked at the items and the instructions, then said he didn?t have the necessary tools (a flathead screwdriver, #2 Phillips head screwdriver, and hammer). I told him I had the tools available, but he still left, saying he would return later with his own. After several hours, I reached out to check in ? he said he would be here in about an hour. I called again later, and he told me he would be here in 15?20 minutes. Then, after around 15 minutes, he said he had a flat tire and would call me the next day to schedule a new time. After that, he stopped responding completely. I even had to postpone my appointments that day because he said he would be coming back later, which caused additional inconvenience. I understand that he might have felt the job wasn?t worth the agreed rate, but this in unprofessional."

Finally, close the door to ensure it functions correctly and adjust the hinges if necessary.

Dirt, debris, moisture damage, and damaged rollers can all make a sliding door difficult to open and close. Keeping the door tracks clear of any loose material and making sure rollers are clean and well lubricated can help keep your door opening and closing smoothly. Clean out the tracks and rollers and use a silicone-based lubricant once a month to ensure your door is working properly.

You may be able to repair a door closer, but often, it’s easier (and more cost-effective) to simply replace it. You may want to try fixing a door closer if the rod gets bent out of shape. If that happens, you can simply straighten it back into position. Using a flat, durable surface, line up the bent rod so the bend is pointing up. Then strike the bent rod with a rubber mallet, slowly pounding it back into place. If you can’t fix the closer, buying a new one is still a quick and inexpensive fix.

If part of the key is protruding out of the lock, you can use a pair of needle-nosed pliers or tweezers to gently turn the key in the lock to open the door. If the key is fully inserted into the lock, you may also be able to use a key extractor to help turn the key into the unlocked position. 

But if the key breaks off halfway into the lock or you simply can’t reach it to help engage the unlocking mechanisms, you should probably call a professional.

Regular lubrication, hinge tightening, and sensor cleaning for automatic doors help prolong their lifespan and prevent costly repairs.
