"Work was done satisfactorily……workers were good and honest . Owner is a liar and fraudulent . Promises made and not kept . A three week project took 6 months to complete . And the whole scope of the project was never completed……..His cost of materials estimates were doubled and we were deceived throughout . Money added to all materials and labor costs way above the norm . Owner proved to be arrogant and untrustworthy . Unfortunately we trusted him and didn’t check into his dealings until it was too late . He denies any responsibility and has no transparency……..a very poor choice on our part . Don’t make the same mistake we did …….verify all charges and dealings with this man ."

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

Garbage disposals last an average of seven years but can function well past 10 years. However, as time goes on and more food is ground, the grinding plates will slowly lose their edge and need replacing. A motor likely won’t last 10 or more years, but you should be able to get a minimum of five years at least, even under heavy usage. 

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.
