"We were looking for a while to find someone to repair our roof in Liberty ME and we found Josh through your site. The first day we met him we were very comfortable with him ,he explained what he though was the problem and told us what he could do to fix it, He gave us a quote and his final total cost was actually a little less. He is a very honest and trustworthy young man. His work is awesome he leaves clean after each day he is there. We were very impressed with his work and work ethic. I would hire him again if I needed work done."

"Mr Edes did a couple odd jobs, he was very professional, reasonable priced for the jobs he did. His attention to detail is unreal. I highly recommend him. He painted my kitchen, and cleaned up and put back everything. Outside he tore down an old deck and built me a new set of stairs. Not even a nail left behind."

"This was a fine young gentleman, very polite, and he did a great job on our porch (power washing) - even offered to fetch our easy chairs from the garage (which he did) and set them up on the porch."

"Prompt, reasonable and professional. Good crew. Came up with great ideas on other projects I have in mind. Love my new ceiling, they fixed all the rot in my subfloors and prepped for new flooring. Would recommend for all your weekend projects. Did I mention they work efficiently? what they got done in a weekend probably would have taken a 4 man crew a week. Nick, Gerry and Frank are the crew for you."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

A septic tank lid is often 1 foot underground, but it could be just 4 inches from the surface or 4 feet deep. For septic tank lids that are closer to the surface, you’ll have an easier time locating them just by looking for signs in the yard or using a metal probe. But for septic tanks that are buried deeper underground, you’ll need to hire a pro with specialized equipment to track down the lid without risk of damaging utility lines.

Over time, your septic tank can accumulate a buildup of sludge at the bottom of the tank. If left unpumped and uncleaned, the sludge will back up into your pipes and home, causing failure and extensive (and smelly) damage. Repairs to your septic system can be costly, which is why regular maintenance is required. It takes about 30 minutes to pump a septic tank that’s 1,250 gallons or less or 1 hour for larger varieties.

The average cost to pump a septic tank is around $550, though prices can range from $250 to over $1,250. The final cost depends on several factors, including the size of your tank, how full it is, and your geographic location. For example, pumping a small tank might cost between $290 and $530, while a larger 1,750-gallon tank could cost $600 or more. Prices also vary by region; for instance, costs in Minneapolis range from $175 to $275, while in Portland, they can be between $440 and $750. Regular pumping is essential to prevent waste buildup, which can lead to backups and damage to your drain field.

Most homeowners know there’s a septic system problem when they can smell one. However, this isn’t exactly a scientific deduction method. Consider some of the other signs: standing water or constantly damp earth in the drainage area, toilets and sinks that won’t drain or frequently back up, and loud plumbing. You really need to be on top of routine maintenance with septic systems in order to avoid such unpleasant symptoms of a septic issue.

If there’s a problem with your sewage system, you might notice water pooling on the ground around the tank, which could indicate an overflow. Clogged and sluggish drains or foul smells coming from your plumbing are also signs that there might be a blockage in your septic system.
