"Absolutely the best service and quality of workmanship, I have received in a long time. Chris answers your call or text promptly, shows up early for appointment, quote within a couple hours; was at my house the next day and project completed the same day exactly the way I had wanted. Top quality craftsmanship and no mess to clean up. I have/ will highly recommended him. Yet I would like to keep him my secret as I donâ t want him to get too busy. BUT no....that is unfair and he will do a great job for anyone. Thanks, Chris"

Offers commercial services

"Perfect service. They were early and very responsive, answered all and any questions I had. Was very professional. The gentleman and his helper were very strong.. like, I have never seen someone just pick up a dresser and go! They were very punctual, they were very very good at their jobs, very courteous. I have never met anybody in the state of Bangor Maine who is more courteous and better at their job than this company. I would recommend, 10 out of 10, if I could, I would give him a hundred stars! I highly recommend Bob Young and his crew to come out for either your landscaping or your junk removal. Very courteous and he was not expensive, he works with you on a budget, he is just overall a great person and he has a great company. I highly recommend!"

Small jobs welcome

"Josh was great, not sure until the spring as to how the flow will proceed because he used the slop of the land differently than anticipated. He did a wonderful job cleaning up our back yard which had 25 years of overgrowth. We plan to bring him back in the spring to complete some more work for us."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

The best times of year to empty or pump a septic tank are spring and fall. Many professionals recommend spring because the ground has thawed, making the tank easier to access and the waste less likely to be frozen. Pumping before summer also helps avoid conflicts with vacations or outdoor gatherings. Fall is another great option, as contractors may be less busy, and servicing the tank can reduce the risk of overflow from winter and spring precipitation. While summer is also a suitable time, winter is generally not recommended due to frozen ground.

Running water may get rid of a sulfur smell temporarily, but it isn’t a long-term solution. If your taps smell like sulfur, take a look at some of the potential causes we’ve outlined above. Depending on what’s going on, you might need to contact a pro to identify and fix the issue.

You maintain a cesspool by pumping the tank every three to five years to prevent clogging. You should also have a septic tank or sewer system professional inspect the system once every three years. Avoid putting harmful chemicals and non-biodegradable items in the system to extend the life span of the cesspool.

The best way to keep a septic tank clean is to hire a local septic tank cleaner to inspect and pump the septic tank every three to five years. Be sure to only flush human waste and toilet paper down the toilet, and don’t pour grease, oil, fats, coffee grounds, or food scraps into your drains.

A household of four can easily fill a 1,000-gallon septic tank within a week. It may be 10 to 14 days for smaller households. But the reason why you don't need weekly pumping is because the tank's contents eventually reach the overflow pipe. They flow down this pipe to the absorption area whenever water is used in your home. The tank keeps working at this full level until it's pumped again.
