"Andy did an excellent job of cleaning 20 years of bottom paint off the bottom of my 21 foot fiberglass boat. Paint was removed to the boot stripe and there was no damage to the glass. The work was completed in my yard which was left clean with no residue. Great job"

For residential properties, the standard minimum height for a deck railing is 36 inches. For example, 2x8 redwood joists spaced 16 inches apart can only safely span up to 10 feet and 7 inches. On the other hand, 2x10 southern pine joists spaced 12 inches apart can be as big as 16 feet and 2 inches. If you aren’t sure what size joist is best for your project, speak with your deck builder.

You do not have to dig footers for a deck as long as it meets local code and holds up to weather in your area. If you live somewhere that experiences high winds and earthquakes, you may need to dig for your deck posts. Deck blocks, post anchors with base plates, and helical pile systems are the three no-dig deck post options you can choose from if local code permits.
