"I've dealt with this family for years and they are very professional execute all services they say they're going to do and they always do extra. They take the time to do the job correctly and make sure that the customer is satisfied and that's why I continue to keep using them on all of my properties across Arizona. On one of my properties the paving job was 48,000 however it improved my properties value by $250,000. Worth every penny and I sincerely recommend them"

"We have nothing but great things to say about SLTD Electric. They have come out to our house a couple times now for different projects, and they are always very communicative and deliver affordable, prompt, and effective services. They are also super friendly (and sweet to our gaggle of pets). We cannot recommend them enough."

"I have used them for 10 years.  They took all the clippings away and blew the driveway.  They did everything really well.  I and my neighbor had our service done at the same time, and they had a moving pattern that blended the two lots together, so it looked almost like one lot.  Their price was excellent.  Their responsiveness was good because I could always get the owner on his cell phone.  I would use them again in the future."

"Honestly this may be the most professional crew out there. Every aspect was made easy by Eastern Maine Excavation. Their work was perfect and price was very reasonable. I had issues with our septic with other contractors but these guys did it right the first time. I was so impressed that I had them redo my driveway right after. I cannot explain how much they made my experience easier but I would recommend them to anyone looking for any level of site work."

"I hired this com0any late in the fall so Rob had to deal with wintry conditions but made it out as often as he could. He always answers his phone or will call you back in a timely manner if you leave a message. Great carpentry work that looks very nice and is durable. I recommend this company."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Yes, adding a pergola can add value to your home and provides an excellent selling point for potential buyers who enjoy outdoor living. Pergolas may have a 50% to 80% return on investment. To add more value, choose a structure made from durable, long-lasting materials and have it professionally installed. Extra features like a motorized roof, smart louvers, and heaters or misters may also give you a better return on investment.

The best time to plant is between spring and autumn. Springtime weather is typically mild and is when nurseries start to bloom. When the summer weather arrives and it’s hot out, it’s best to avoid planting bare-root plants, but you can still plant many in-container varieties. The first sign of fall is another great opportunity to plant biennials if you live in southern states, or a lovely vegetable garden up north.

Many people have used old tires in gardens as raised beds, planters, tree rings, and DIY decor. However, these uses are not recommended due to the toxicity of many of the chemicals used to manufacture tires. These chemicals can leach into the soil and water as the tire breaks down, creating environmental pollution and health hazards for gardeners and their families.

Most bamboo can send roots down two to three feet into the ground. However, when stopping bamboo from spreading, the focus is on the runner roots or rhizomes. These roots are much shallower, staying 12 inches or less from the surface, so they’re easier to find and remove. But if you want to remove the bamboo entirely, you’ll have to dig out the full root system.

There are many factors to consider when building an in-ground concrete pool. This includes the pool’s primary purpose (relaxation or exercise) if you live in a warm or cold climate (how often it’ll be used), and if you have the budget for chemical treatments and pool maintenance. In-ground pools are often more costly than aboveground pools, but they’re considered more luxurious and hold more value.
