They installed the water proofing that December. They kept to quoted price with no surprises The crew kept to the schedule I was given. It was pretty expensive but they did a good job and their response time was quick. $975 for 3 hours emergency plumbing on a Saturday evening. Wanting a second opinion, I called my plumber. Within seconds of walking into our basement, he found that we already HAD a sump basin, and that an old house trap was clogged and causing backup to the basin. For $1000.00, the plumber removed the house trap and ran the line directly to the sewer, cleaned the sump basin, and we have not had an issue since. In the end, we saved thousands of dollars and a lot of unnecessary drilling which would not have fixed the issue. I do not think that Rob was being deceitful in any way, but I was disturbed that he did not find the existing basin which was under a large, loose tile in the utility room where we stood discussing the issue for 30 minutes. In my desperation to fix the problem, I very nearly did not get a second opinion; boy, am I glad I did!
