"Innovation Painting just finished staining the exterior of our log home and garage and words cannot express how impressed we are. Nick and his crew were prompt, professional, personable and immensely talented. The property has never looked better. I intend to recommend them to everyone I know. We will definitely be using them on future projects. The best! Thank you guys!"

"Mike did an excellent job; I had a lot of both large and small projects and he did them all for me. The dining room renovation was outstanding. The wood floor there looks brand new, not 45 years old!"

Hi, my name is Victor Brown. I have 30 years experience in painting houses, both interior and exterior. I also have 30 years in the lawn care industry, cutting grass and trim is my specialty. I can either leave no grass, or have the grass be evenly over the entire lawn, giving your lawn the nourishment it craves! I have always been an employee, making my bosses money so I've finally decided to branch out and start my own company.

Painting questions, answered by experts

The only time that it's okay to leave a paintbrush in water overnight is when you're trying to remove dried-on paint. However, don't allow the bristles to rest on the bottom of the container. Remember that soaking it longer than necessary can damage the brush.

You should typically be able to paint baseboards without removing them. If you remove baseboards for painting, you risk creating large nail holes or cracks when putting them back in place after the job is complete. If you need to remove the feature, it is possible to remove baseboards, paint them in another location, and reinstall them.

Stucco by itself is durable, but even paint made for harsh environmental conditions requires regular maintenance and upkeep. In other words, repaint your stucco every five to 10 years, depending on its current condition. Trust your senses. If it looks fine, it probably is fine. If it looks cracked and worn down, give it a new coat.

To fix bubbling paint, scrape away any loose or blistered areas using a putty knife. Lightly sand the surface to smooth out rough edges and create a level finish. Clean the area thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, and any residue. Once the surface is clean and dry, apply a quality primer suited to the material you're painting. Finally, repaint the area, making sure to work in proper temperature and humidity conditions to prevent new bubbles from forming.

You should wait for caulk to cure before painting it. Silicone and acrylic latex caulk can take anywhere from one to 10 days to fully cure, and polyurethane may take 10 to 12 days to cure. Always follow the instructions on the label when it comes to painting over caulk because different types require different drying and curing times.
