"Technician arrived over 1 hour after the time given by office. Did not know the job specs that were given when appointment was set up. Had to return to shop as tech did not come prepared. When settling bill tech said $350. We explained that we should not have to pay road time for shop run. He called office and came back and said the cost was $350, taking the shop run off the cost. We stated that was the same cost. Tech said it was $75 for the shop run making the bill $425, so minus the $75 the bill was now $350. The cleaning of one pipe with no blockage should not be $425. Tech wore mask 2 out of the 3 times we conversed but the mask was not CDC approved, which means the customer isn’t protected. I think EcoClean needs to improve its communication with clients and needs to improve field tech and office communications."

"It was late at night when we realized our water heater blew and flooded our basement like a swimming pool. We had to find a plumber and fast. we came across SWB he was out here within 30 minutes from our call the job he did was impeccable. He went above and beyond he went and got us a new water heater, installed it, and then stuck around to help us clean up, Since then we’ve used him for several other projects. Every time the professionalism came with him I would highly recommend him 100%."

"I found Caldwell Septic and Drains on Angi. He got in touch with me the day I posted my inquiry, and we quickly scheduled time for him to come out. We had two lines from our bathroom clogged and Zach came out and fixed both quickly. He explained what he needed to do and was professional. He then explained the invoice to me and thanked me for my business. I’d definitely recommend Caldwell Septic and Drains and will be using them in the future."

"Called cry septic and management with a plumbing emergency and troy responded immediately. Troy and the men he brought were prompt, efficient and friendly. They came out on a Sunday to clear a main drain. Before any work was done they consulted with me and had the job done quickly. Troy took the time to explain what was going on and followed through to make sure everything was still working properly. I will definitely be using them again for future projects and services and I have recommended cry septic and management to quite a few people."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Bleach is generally not recommended for your shower drains. Although diluted bleach can technically help clean your drain, it will not unclog your pipes. In fact, bleach can harm your plumbing system because it’s so powerful. The bleach can change the color of your sink and even corrode metal pipes and fittings.

Often, people reach for bleach because it's already in their house. But it's worth getting a plunger or a drain snake for the job instead. It'll be a lot less money to buy a new plunger than to pay a plumber to repair or replace damaged pipes.

A bit of water in the bowl can help unclog a toilet, especially if you're using a plunger. However, if the bowl is full to the brim, you'll need to strap on gloves and remove some of the wastewater in a cup or container so it doesn't overflow when you try to unblock the pipe. If you're concerned about it filling further, manually close the flapper in the toilet tank or turn off the water supply to the toilet.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.

Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.

As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to clean your linear drain every two to three months to prevent debris buildup. However, if you notice it draining slowly or an odor from your drainpipes, it’s best to clear the clogged drain and maintain it more often. If you let a clog go for too long, you may have to invest in the price of professional shower drain cleaning, which costs about $225.

To unclog the drain pipe, remove the machine's drain hose from the pipe or sink drain, being careful to contain any water in it. Next, use a plunger for sink drains or a plumbing snake for a wall drain. Test the repair by pouring a small amount of water into the pipe before trying it with a laundry load.
