"So I live in a older house (1947) so the plumbing is older too. Anytime I used my sink dishwasher or laundry the water would all but flood my basement making it almost unusable. I called and talked to Seth he was able to get to my home the next day and diagnose the problem my pipes in the concrete were old and clogged beyond repair well he managed to completely redo all of my plumbing brand new and have it up and running in a matter of a few hours! I now have a dry usable basement. He gave me a very decent price as well! Now hopefully I don't need another plumber anytime soon but if I do I'm calling seth at SWB!"

"We had a pretty big project, removing an old camp roof and building a new roof rotated 90 degrees, and adding a loft area. We were very happy with Andrew and his crew. They really go the extra mile to make sure everything is done right - they don't cut corners and take pride in their work. They installed new windows in the front and even used Windex to wipe off their finger smudges! Price was very good, and they're good, honest guys to work with. Very pleased!"

"Tommy provided outstanding customer service. He could not have more pleasant and easy going. I liked that he gave me a window for arrival, and most importantly, he text me when he was "on his way". Now, I know, if you have a clogged sewer line, call Tommy rather than a plumber. Many plumbers do not have the proper equipment. Most likely the fix will be delayed until you can find someone that does have the equipment. Call Tommy to avoid the delay. With a clogged sewer line, any delay is NOT good. I would highly recommend his company."

"CZ Plumbing is two men named Chuck and Zack. They did work on my renovation project of a very old home and barn. The work includes installing two different types of heating systems, one being radiant floor and the other forced hot water baseboard, a bathroom, a kitchen, and lots of unusual extras. They did a great job. I helped by drilling holes, cleaning up, and going to pick up parts at a supply store. Unlike other plumbers I have hired in the past they gave me a better price because I assisted them. Their prices are fair, but not cheap, because they are professionals. I still have more work to do and they gave me a detailed written estimate of what they would charge to complete the job. I plan on using them exclusively for the rest of my plumbing work. I have been working on these buildings for twenty seven years. In that time I have worked with about six plumbers. I felt gouged every time the other plumbers left the job. The work was never completely done, there was always difficult details that I had to figure out for myself. It always seemed that the other plumbers came and did whatever was most profitable, and left the rest for me to figure out on my own. Chuck and Zack are different. They really know their craft and went out of their way to explain things to me, and then solved every problem. This was a very refreshing experience. I recommend CZ Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done, especially those with very old buildings."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

Bleach isn’t likely to help unclog a sewer line. Bleach isn’t useful in this situation because it won’t dissolve the grime and debris in the clog. Instead, you want to use ingredients that will have a chemical reaction to clear out the buildup, like vinegar or salt and baking soda.

Costs vary by severity and access requirements. Typical pricing ranges from $100 to $350, increasing with complexity or for emergency services.

Yes, you can use vinegar to unclog a dishwasher. To do so, combine 4 tablespoons of white vinegar with 4 tablespoons of baking soda and pour the mixture down your dishwasher’s drain. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then pour a cup of hot water down the drain to flush everything out. Finally, run a rinse cycle on your dishwasher to see if the clog is gone.

Yes, short hair can clog a drain. While you might be tempted to blame the long-haired people living with you for a clogged drain, hair—no matter the length—can combine with soap scum and leftover shampoo to create a perfect storm of sticky mess that can cause your drain to slow down.
