"I can't overstate the quality of the work these folks did. We had our unfinished attic converted to living space, and the space had a lot of funky angles and old framing. G.A. Doughty's team did an incredible job making it work, including a half-bath! We're very pleased with the result. Everyone at G.A., the project manager, office staff, and all the subcontractors were very polite and fun to work with. Everyone who came to the house was very friendly. The only issue we had was that for a few months during the middle of the project, things seemed to stall out for about 6-8 weeks. I think they were having some availability issues with subcontractors and were overloaded from other projects."

Portland Kitchen Quotes is a kitchen design studio serving Portland and Southern Maine. Tell us about your kitchen: the layout, the measurements, the style you want. We design it in our own kitchen design software, with 3D renderings and wall-by-wall layouts, then hand you a real cabinet package to build from. That means a complete cabinet schedule, sized and specified for your room, not a rough guess.\n\nWe work with established cabinet lines, including shaker, painted, and wood finishes, and every design comes with a budget range before final supplier pricing. Whether you're remodeling, replacing cabinets, or planning a kitchen in new construction, you start with a design you can actually see.\n\nStarting your design takes about ten minutes, and it's free with no obligation. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The installers of the wallboard were quick and efficient. Did a great job hanging in our new 16 x 32 family room. Even with some of the patch work in other areas of the house they ensured the surrounding wallboard had screws to adequately cover the area before the taper came in. The man that taped and mudded was a true professional. His corners and seams are clean and overall the expertise of the entire crew was exceptional. I would certainly hire this company again."
