Customers say: Quality work

"I relocated here from Florida. I call many companies for lawn care and only a few for back to me. Jonathan who I spoke with this morning not only called me back quickly, but within an hour of his call he came out and gave an estimate, signed me up for bi-weekly lawn care and sent his crew out TODAY (same day) to do the work. They did a very nice job and were fast and efficient. I am happy with the lawn and the quality, but the customer service sets them apart. I highly recommend Appalachian Lawn Care and Snow Removal. They are on their A game!"

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Vinegar is known to be a contact herbicide, which means it kills the foliage it comes in contact with. Because of the high acetic acid concentration, horticultural vinegar kills weeds and grass more effectively. However, keep in mind that high amounts and multiple applications can affect the soil by lowering the pH levels.

Professionals employ protective measures such as covering or temporarily relocating plants, minimizing chemical usage, and carefully planning construction routes to avoid damage. These precautions preserve the integrity and appearance of the landscaping during projects.

No, it's not really possible to completely prevent weed growth. Weeds are incredibly resilient—all they usually need is a tiny bit of dirt to sprout, so their eventual appearance is pretty much inevitable. However, you can definitely keep them at bay by getting rid of weeds as soon as you notice them. The longer you let them sit and grow roots, the more they'll spread.

When hiring a lawn aeration professional, they may suggest other related services to get your lawn looking lush and fabulous. Prior to scheduling any of the following services, you should consult your lawn care pro about the order and timing of multiple projects to ensure best results for your grass. There are several ways to kill poison ivy permanently. The trick is to keep it from coming back. Herbicides and natural remedies are highly effective for killing existing poison ivy plants. However, plant and root parts left behind can easily create new sprouts that turn into full-grown plants. The only way to permanently get rid of poison ivy is to be patient and diligent until all traces of the plant are dead and gone.
