"Bob is the owner of IPM Pest & Wildlife Services. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and personable and we are so thankful to have met him. We knew right away he truly cares about his customers and his work. We could not have found a better person to remove two families of squirrels in our attic! Bob worked diligently for two weeks to live trap and relocate 18 squirrels in all -13 of them babies. (He also helped a mink caught on our property find a new home.) He was constantly available for advice, trap checking and removing all of the critters. We trusted his patience and his determination as he told us, â Iâ ll do what it takes to finish a job!â He gave us so much peace of mind during that process. We are so grateful to be rid of the squirrels - in a humane way - and so is our dog! We hope we never have to go through this, again, but we would call Bob in a heartbeat if we did and certainly tell others to do the same."

"Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. They took their shoes off when entering the house which I thought was a very nice touch in customer service. They also said they would come back in a month to double check their work and scheduled a time to do it. Nice follow up!"

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

To keep deer from eating your trees, you can either put up barriers or install a deer repellant. Barriers that protect trees from deer include tree wrap or fencing. You can also plant deer-resistant trees to prevent deer from eating or scraping against your trees or garden with plants that deer don’t like to be around.

Armadillos are attracted to water, so a leaky irrigation system or an overwatered lawn can encourage them to move in. They especially like wet areas where they can burrow and loose soil where they can dig for grubs. They are also attracted to dense ground cover, where they can often find food sources.

According to the Internet Center for Wildlife Damage Management, no frightening devices are proven effective for squirrel control. This is likely because the squirrels quickly become habituated to the noises. However, strobe lights show some promise, so motion-activated lighting could be an option worth considering as part of your integrated pest management strategy.

You can remove groundhogs yourself using a DIY approach of rags soaked in ammonia, or you can purchase and set a trap for the groundhog. These low-cost methods are easy to implement, but you should ensure that you comply with local laws and regulations concerning animal trapping and release. You can also hire an experienced professional to remove groundhogs from your yard.

While keeping any critter away permanently isn’t always possible, you can keep mice away from your home by setting traps, fumigating your space, and sealing known entry points. Once you’ve taken these steps, take time to work on prevention measures, such as clearing out all clutter and recyclables and removing all food sources.
