Since 1994, Air Tite Exteriors has provided homeowners in Maryland and D.C with top quality, factory-direct products, professionally installed by factory trained installers. Locally-owned. GAF Master Elite roofing certification.
"They're expensive and they did good work, but the details were not handled well:
1) They said the job would take one day - it took four.
2) They parked a large metal dumpster on my drive without prior warning, blocking my car in the garage making it impossible for me to leave.
3) They incorrectly calculated the final bill, only reducing it to the agreed upon amount after I pointed the mistake out.
Also, this isn't a big deal but their sales reps, while friendly and knowledgeable, did the whole used-car sales "let me talk to the owner and try to get you a better deal," routine which was a bit corny and embarrassing.
I understand that's what is still taught in sales rep school, but it feels a bit patronizing. When I said I needed a couple days to compare their offer with other estimates, they went into high pressure mode, using the old "I can't guarantee this price will last, etc. etc." all very old fashioned sales tactics that I hope companies will abandon soon.

"We used this builder on the advice of another contractor. We are so disappointed. The simplest thing - putting composite decking down - was a disaster because they used the wrong screws (photo attached)! Our warranty is void now, but there's more! I was unable to upload all of the photos, but there is so much wrong I can't list it all here. The railings were put up wrong. The deck - even after three corrections - is still not straight to the house and so the steps are "crooked" to the patio. Because the composite boards have been reused three times now, we have holes with no screws (photo attached). He used 2x8s on the frame, but 2x6 joists - and when we asked where the joist hangers were - he added 2x4 hangers. On the screen porch roof we had to ask for gutters and when they were installed they were too short on both sides - so he stuck a piece of bent flashing under the shingles to "redirect" the rest of the water (photos attached). The entire project has been a nightmare and it's not over yet. Please do not EVER use this guy. I have no clue how he got a license.... and the best part? He put the WRONG license number on the contract!"

Our billing procedures are cash or check, we do not take credit cards. We usually get a deposit before we start to cover materials and it depends on the size of the job whether there are payment schedules set up, and final payment is due upon completion.

Stucco questions, answered by experts
One upside to stucco siding is that it can last for 50 to 80 years, and it’s reasonably low maintenance during that lifespan. However, you’ll need routine maintenance to keep it looking its best, as it will crack and chip as it ages. If you live in an area that sees heavier rainfall, sealing your stucco siding every five to 10 years may be necessary.
Due to application and cure times between coats, stuccoing a house takes between 10 and 14 days. Professionals may be able to wrap up projects on smaller homes in 7 to 10 days, while stuccoing large, multi-level homes can take more than two weeks. For the standard three-coat stucco system, six days are dedicated solely to stucco drying timelines, which are necessary after each coat.
A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.
Aluminum siding isn't the only type of siding material on the market for giving your home's exterior a makeover. Alternatives to aluminum siding include vinyl siding, wood siding, composite siding, and brick veneer siding. Each siding material comes with strengths and weaknesses that could influence your decision based on your particular circumstances, so it's important to look into each type as they pertain to your home and lifestyle before deciding.
A popular competitor to aluminum siding is vinyl siding, which has a similar price and is lower maintenance but comes with a shorter life span.
No, stucco siding tends to be more expensive than vinyl siding. While the materials for stucco are less costly, the labor-intensive application process increases the total project budget. If you're comparing stucco versus vinyl siding based on cost alone, vinyl siding would be the winner there. In terms of longevity, on the other hand, stucco lasts for around 50 years, 10 to 30 years longer than vinyl siding, making it a better long-term investment.
