"My Wow Your Closet salesperson and the paperwork indicated that the job should take between 4-12 weeks. It was a small job: removing 5 wooden shelves from a 30"-wide, floor-to-ceiling closet, and instaling a cabinet-and-counter unit from Wow Your Closet. The job took 6 1/2 months. At the first attempted install, none of the parts fit. At the second attempted install, some of the parts fit. At the 3rd attempted install, a few more parts fit. Finally, at the 4th attempted install, the installers were able to finish the job. Through the 6 1/2 months, I called and emailed 30 times (I kept notes) and even visted the company in person to find out what was going on. Someone from the company called or emailed me back 12 times. After the install was finally complete, it took another 2 1/2 months (and several phone calls) before the promised post-install visit and inspection occured, and for me to finally received the promised warranty. The completed job is nice but the process was very ugly. "

"I needed to have a window balance replaced. When he completed the initial estimate, I needed to have two window balances replaced because he broke a second one. I was charged to the parts and labor to replace both. Costs are not disclosed. For example, I was charged $198.89 for MH.MRE.605.0100 and $115.90 for MH.MTA.000.0004. Eventually I found out that the $115.90 was to locate and pick up the parts. There was also a Service Charge. When I asked what that was for, I was told "a fee for lack of a better term." My original estimate was for $300.13 but I ended up paying $412.78. There are better and more transparent options than Mr. Handyman."

In the end, they ended up adding almost $8,000...b/c they quoted the incorrect weight to start, as well as charging for a smaller truck that we never requested. The moving company that did the physical part, wasn't JK, and they were hard, polite, and great workers! I reached out and begged JK to help with the major increase (added 65% more to the total...and that was NOT budgeted in whatsoever! After numerous requests for ANY $ help, we were told simply "No." I worked with the physical moving company and they offered to help with some of the expenses...JK, Nope, Nadda, & basically told me TOO D*** BAD! DON'T USE THEM FOR ANY QUOTES!"
