Fine. Was abe to determine problem with the circut path and restore service.

I had a wall switch with a built in timer for my kitchen light. The circuit had another on/off switch associated with it which I assume made it a bit more difficult for me. Anyway, the battery in the timer switch depleted so I replaced the timer switch with a simple on/off switch. Once I replaced the timer battery I called this electrician recommended by Angie's list  to reinstall the timer. Although the timer appeared to be working, once installed the timer behaved erratically. So he simply re-installed the on/off switch. Very disappointing. Waste of money. I was disappointed that little or no time was expended on analyzing what the problem might be other than saying the timer switch was bad. I figured a pro electrician would provide me with some detail. I don't have the skill necessary to ascertain why the timer switch "is bad". It is still in a box. So I am hesitant to say anything one way or the other. Just disappointed.

It’s very well. It’s a one man operation. Very good customer service, very personable, and he’s doing a very good job for us.

This was a complete replacement project to eliminate an old ITE panel box and associated external wiring. The wiring from the new weather-head on through to the new Square D breaker box was all replaced. There was a new meter base installed. The breaker box as well as circuit breakers are now all new Square D type.
The contractor was on top of everything, so the install went great. He coordinated with the power company for an early AM disconnect and then had the power back on by early PM. This was done in mid November in the Northeast when air temperatures are usually not very warm, so the coordination of power interruption was critical.
This contractor was very cordial and also very prompt with this service request. We did not want to spend another winter season wondering whether the electric system would be OK or if we might have an electrical fire issue some dark/cold winter night.
I would hire this contractor again and will also recommend this service company to anyone.

Arrived bright and early, began work immediately upon arrival. Completed work as expected and in a timely manner. Cleaned up debris. Discussed future electrical projects. Very professional. Work completed to expectations. Cost was consistent with other estimates.

After calling several local elctricians and getting answering machine after answering machine, I finally called Rife Electric. They asnwered right away. I spoke with Eldon about the minor work that I needed doen at thehouse. He said he could come the following day. Unfortunately, that day didn't work for me so we settled on a future date. He showed up on time, got the work done right, was friendly, and even gave me a referral for a bathroom renovation project that I need to get done.

Very personalable and polite.  The bill was slightly higher than expected.  I would use their services again.

Rife Electic provided the estimate and did all the inside wiring, while S&S provided the generator and the outside connections

Eldon answered the phone when I first called, which was a positive after talking to machine after machine.  He was able to come out in a few days, and showed up when he said he would.  After spending a bit of time troubleshooting, he narrowed down the issue and had a plan to take care of it.  He was also able to rig wiring to the pump so that the pump would work until the permanent fix was done.

He showed up on time to do the work and quickly finished.  Our issue has been resolved, and the pump works fine.

In April 2011 I had 18 inches of water in my basement due to a failed sump pump, and decided it was time to buy a generator to stop this from happening in the future. After researching portable generators and home generator systems I decided to go with a  home system, and contacted Rife Electric (recommened by Service Master) for estimates and options.  Rife Electric was very prompt with options and pricing and I decided on a 7000 watt standby generator with 50 AMP transfer switch. An electrician from Rife did all the in-house wiring and their sub-contracror - S & S Electric Motors supplied the generator and ouside installation. Since I do not have natural gas in my area, a propane tank also needed to be installed.. The staff from both Rife & S & S were very professional and did a great job with the project. It is quite a relief to no longer have to worry about power outages and having water risisng in the basement.
