The visit fee is annoying, but pretty standard. I then was told I would need to pay $700 just for the diagnosis. I felt forced since the guy was already in my house and I needed it done ASAP. I was then quoted $4k+ for the actual fix which was ridiculous. I declined but couldn't get out of the $700 diagnosis fee. I hired a local electrician who quoted me $1k, then went out of their way to deduct it even more after finding a more efficient solution. It all got fixed for nearly a fifth of the price that I was given by Magothy. I should have known better."
