"I hired Penate Tile to demo old carpet and install tile in the first floor (concrete slab) on two of my houses. They did a good job including moving and replacing furniture. It was fast, fairly priced and no question about their integrity. (I paid for the tile upfront but don't think I paid the full balance for labor until it was done). I was traveling at the time so I cannot comment on the cleanliness but didn't have any complaint from my housemate."

"I just received my walk-in shower to replace my tub/shower combo last week. Corey K. & Shane T. did a wonderful job. They used drop cloths to cover the entire section of flooring from the door to the bathroom. Cleanup was also well done! Still waiting for my corner shelves & it is to be a non-slip floor pan but I felt very unstable on it during my first shower so I purchased a non-slip rubber suction cup bathmat for my own safety. I elected to have a shower door instead of using a shower curtain, but I donâ t care for the way it slides. West Shore Home is sending someone next week to look at it. I slap had trouble activating my warranty for the glass doors but WSH is also looking into that issue as well."

"We bought a new construction and McCrea installed the HVAC. Home inspection identified the heat pump was not working in Oct. 2020. McCrea identified it was due to leaking refrigerants and promise fixed the issue. Our electric bill was extremely high the following two months and the heat pump was not cooling in Spring 2021. McCrea sent technician and again repaired the system. Bought their maintenance plan. We had 4+ repairs plus regular tune up in the past two years. Last week the heat pump stopped cooling again. We are out of labor warranty and charge us with $89 diagnostic cost after membership discount. It took three days for them to send someone to check while we suffering 90F in our house. They identified the compressor dead and need replacement. They charge $1900 for labor after membership discount. Most likely cause of the compressor failure is "suicide" with assistance. Low refrigerant at beginning and over change in later repairs likely contributed the short life."

Josh thoroughly examined the interior and exterior of the home and determined that the leak might be plumbing related. Josh could have very easily exploited our ignorance and suggested a solution purely beneficial to his company that may not have addressed the underlying cause of the problem. Instead, he demonstrated his integrity by realistically assessing the situation even if it would jeopardize the sale. This is commendable particularly in this era where cutthroat business practices are commonplace. I highly recommend Basement Gurus. They are fortunate to have an employee like Josh who exhibits concern for the customer at such a high level. "

"JES left my home in worse shape and will not return my calls to come repair the damage left. I reached out to them to install a joist support system under my kitchen so that I can renovate this year. There were floor joists under the back door that had been cut during a renovation about 30 years ago. JES installed a jack system but then left my foundation under the door where you can literally see daylight from the basement. I brought this up to the crew before they left late Friday night (they worked long hours just to ?finish? without even asking me if it was okay to trap me at home that late), and the lead just shrugged at me. Shortly after they left, it rained, and sure enough, water poured into my electrical room and all over the freshly poured concrete. I called Friday night, sent an email and text with videos, and called today 3 times. Each time the ?production manager? is ?busy.? Before this, they were perfectly capable of blowing up my phone to see if I could schedule sooner."
