"Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"

"From the moment Steve's designer Joan met us (on a Sunday no less!), it was a professional class A act. In a short period of time she came up with a plan to help us maximize the usage of our closet spaces, drew up the plan, and emailed us a pdf of the design. True to their name, they were so much less costly than their local competitors. I had concern about the quality of the material they would use, but Steve assured me he had been buying from the same company in PA for 25+ years with no issues. The crew of 3 young men showed up on install day right on time as promised. They were polite, professional, honest and cleaned up every spec of saw dust when the install was complete. The closets were the last item in a 18 month gut job renovation of our home. I had previously installed California Closets years ago. I honestly see no difference in the quality of what we had with CA Closets and what was just installed. Lastly, I almost never write reviews or recommend, but if our experience is typical you won't regret hiring Affordable Closets!"
