"Our experience went very well. We hired an organization to remove our vermiculite, mold and insulation out of our attic, thus it made sense to have Paciorek Electric install the lights in our living room, kitchen and three fans."

"They said they do a little bit of everything so we didn't have to worry about calling different contractors.  They do small, big and medium jobs.  Whatever we seemed to need them for it worked out for us pretty well.  Their price was fair and the quality of work was good."

"The project went very smoothly from beginning to end—Meeting the team who performed the work, to coming up with a design for the kitchen with a specialist, picking out cabinets, island, hardware, countertops and backsplash. I watched the team work uniformly day in and day out, because not only did I have new cabinets installed, but electrical and plumbing done as well(recessed lighting, pendant lights, all new appliances, and a farmhouse sink). Also, they are accommodating if changes need to be done. They believe the customer is number one! I would highly recommend them for any type of remodel— I’m going to use them for a future project. FYI— there price is very fair and reasonable"

"At the onset of a project, Brad generates a detailed computer layout which he then reviews with his customer to evaluate and fully understand the job requirements. It is amazing what comes to light as a result of this review prior to work being performed. Brad Kennison is a true craftsman who prides himself in the quality of his work. He is meticulous, conscientious, and works closely with customers to ensure they are completely satisfied. Our older home has presented him with many challenges during 2 renovations. He has always suggested quality, cost effective options when problems surface. We couldn't be more pleased with our recently installed new bedroom cabinet furniture built-ins. It feels as if we are now sleeping in an elegant hotel room. Former bedroom baseboard electrical receptacles were relocated by Chad Fullam Electric in Agawam, MA and are now housed within the built-in closets. There is side access to provide power for accent lighting with minimal wire exposure. In addition to adding beauty to our home, the new bedroom cabinet furniture built-ins have resulted in more functionality wherein we now have excess storage capacity in the bedroom.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Where you place your lamp post is dependent on several factors. For example, if you’re installing a lamppost for aesthetic lighting purposes, you’ll want to consider placing it in a highly-visible spot or a location that illuminates a yard feature. Use it as a focal point of your outdoor living space or use it to light up a garden or walkway. Be sure, however, to avoid any obstructions like trees or other structures that might be in the way or will cast a shadow.

Halogen and LED light bulbs are the most common bulbs for recessed lighting, but you don’t need any special type. LEDs are growing in popularity because they’re the most energy-efficient, which can help you save money in the long run and minimize how often you need to change your light bulbs.

The average cost to install outdoor or landscape lighting is around $4,000, with most projects ranging from $2,000 to $6,000. The total cost can vary widely depending on several factors, including the number of fixtures, design complexity, and the type and quality of the lights used, such as wall sconces, pathway lights, or lamp posts. Other factors that influence the price are the square footage of the area being lit, the amount of electrical work needed, any required excavation or trenching, and local permitting costs. For specific types, you might pay around $100 for pathway or string lighting and up to $700 for lamp post lighting.

There aren't any hard and fast rules about how far recessed lights should be from the wall. It depends on your needs for the lighting. For instance, if you want to highlight a specific piece of art on the wall, you'll want to install lighting close to it. But if you want to illuminate an entire room, you might want your lighting farther from the wall.

A general guideline of one-and-a-half to three feet from the wall is a good place to start, but in the end, you want to make sure the lighting meets your unique needs.

As you scroll through countless types of recessed lighting, look for features and light quality. Motion sensors can make your home more accessible. Smart-ready fixtures give you control at your fingertips. Light quality can set the mood. The package's label and the online specs for LED lights will display the lumens and Kelvin (K). Lumens tell you the brightness—650 for daylight, one for candlelight. Kelvin tells you the temperature—warm (below 4,000K), neutral, or cool (above 5,000K).
